De Ja Vu all over again:eek: The Sox still don't likely win but that was pure heart tonight for the boys.... |
I have to take partial responsibility for the mush in saying that it was over after Upton's double off of Papeldouche. Sincerest apologies to Bigs and Leo.

Did we have a little Game 6 1986 WS here tonight......
All I know as a Red Sox fan Game 7 of the Mets-Sox Series was a forgone conclusion.....let's see if the Rays feel the noose tighten abit. This has to hurt to lose a game you had 7-0 with 2 out that ends up 8-7 without extra innings. This one has to leave a mark.... |
Make up your ****ing mind. Either the Sawx are still probably not going to win or this is the '86 World Series all over again.

Shut it off and went to sleep down 7-0 in the 7th
Woke up at 5:58 A.M. looking to see how bad it ended up. I'm in Shock. I don't know who feels worse about giving up on them. Me or the several thousand fans who poured out of the place after Papelbon gave up the two run double to Upton. Wow. |
you don't deserve it

LMAO at Coffeecake @ 1:13... and Sonny "He bet the phuckin horse?? He bet Kryptonite?? Gimme the tickets" In all seriousness, the Rays deserve to sweat it out now. I now hope there's a game 7 and it goes down to the wire. Any team that pisses a 7-0 lead in the ALCS should be checked for a heartbeat. Bahston is flying high now, and rightfully so. I'm looking forward to game 6 (and 7). |

You call this the best of the AL? A team blows a 7 run lead with 7 outs to go, and they are supposedly the best of the AL?

I think they were kind of basing it on the fact that the Yankees beat up on the Sox and Rays toward the end of the season. The Yankees were basically playing pawtucket when they came to Boston at the end.

Sox, angels and Rays were the best teams in the AL this year. I think the Rays were the best of those three. The yankees were beat up all year but either way i dont think they win it. This was a team in transition and i said at midseason on here that making the playoffs would be gravy. I think the Yanks had a great season all things considered and i think Girardi did a nice job. |

He sure did. They will be back. They just need to get their pitching back. |

But hey how many WS since 1995 have we seen the best team from both leagues facing each other? |

This will result in better offense, better starting pitching, Better Relief. |

That is a good question about the WS. I have to think about that. |

Anaheim had 30-16 record against the AL East (8-1 against Boston before the playoffs) TB was 43-29. |
