Kev, at what age do they (golfers) not know what hitting one on the screws means? Or better yet, what year was the last club made with screws on the face.

How old is Garrison? If he's young, quiz him on the first tee tomorrow and throw him off his game. "Say Garrison, do you know where hitting one on the screws comes from?"

It's kind of like saying "Dial 1-800-Total Crap" to buy something knowing there hasn't been a rotary phone manufactured in years. People 25 years old have probably never "dialed" a phone.

I am 25 years old and I've "dialed" a phone!!

LOL on Garrison's Mom, ask her if she remembers me :p I'm sure she does! :{>:

I haven't talked to him. I have faith. You're on.

And the answer is

GPK Response:

Same thing, I am a complete basketcase with the putter

Scav's type back:
How was Garrison's mom looking today?

Hopefully a photo will be the response.

I know he has old person game, so I am sure once the front 9 was over and he knew he had no chance, he zeroed in on the task at hand.

Response to question about Garrison's Mom

"She brought Garrison's Dad"

This is why he shot another 81, broken heart

I'm a complete and utter basket case on the greens. On the tee box and from the fairway, I have a very quiet mind and focused on the shot. On the greens, with putter in hand, I have a million and one thoughts going through my mind. I had another 36 putts yesterday. I striped it dead down the middle off the tee box and hit another 12 greens, but four 3-putt greens and missing multiple 12-15 footers for birdie just wears away at me mentally. From 20-25 feet I can't get the putt anywhere near the hole. One of my playing partners couldn't help but laugh at me yesterday. I stoned a 6 iron from 165yards to about 8 feet for birdie...and proceeded to leave the putt 2 feet short...He looked at me and deadpanned "at least you are working on your lag putting":o

Anyways...Mom took a backseat yesterday to the 20-something young lady following the group behind us yesterday. Very nice tan...blue and white polka dot sun dress:tro: :tro::tro:

Your obviously playing well tee to green and will likely find a way to keep your routine with the putter as reproducible as your long game and thus as productive. I just watched Paddy miss from 2 feet, Rocco from 3 and a handful of guys miss putts inside the leather this morning. These guys are playing in 30 MPH today and I think to a man they would say that the conditions make it tough but the winds have a way of messing with your confidence. If you could somehow put your mind in the zone you achieve when your cappin' a P4 at Tampa which is a place of focus and confidence you'd see the image of the ball going into the whole before the flat stick makes contact. Hang in there.....

kev head to the green and do the ladder drill

start about 6 feet away, place a tee about a foot past the hole , the goal is to get all 3 balls into the hole or past the hole but not past the tee

once you get all 3 in , move back in increments of 5 feet , try and go back as far as possible , this should help your speed

Marty...I do this drill constantly. I did it for almost 2 hours on Tuesday. At one point I even made 5 in a row from 20 feet. I can't seem to carry it to the course. I can make putts all day long on the pactice green. There is nothing wrong with my stroke and its not from lack of practice. Just a mental block right now. I really need one good putting round to get my confidence back so I can turn the corner. It will come...just a matter of time. I know deep inside I'm a much better putter than what I displayed the last 2 days.
