Bob Black Jack makes the field if one of the above 3 defect or an injury occurs to another horse. Denis of Cork (who I would love to see Calvin Borel on for the Derby at high odds) makes the field if 2 of the above 3 defect or if one of the above defects and an injury occurs to another horse on the list. |
Thanks yo

Julien Leparoux has picked up the mount on Cool Coal Man per the DRF.

I hope BBJ gets in. His last race showed me something about him and I want to see more or find out if he is just a sprinter, I am thinking he may not be.

Salute the Sarge now 99% out, so make it like this with both fillies highly questionable and assuming Behindathebar goes: 1 Pyro 1,020,000 (X) Proud Spell $880,000 2 Tale of Ekati 738,000 3 Colonel John 720,000 4 Gayego 640,000 5 Big Brown 600,000 6 Z Humor 579,000 7 Monba 515,000 8 Court Vision 331,872 9 Z Fortune 329,000 10 Adriano 310,000 11 Recapturetheglory 300,000 12 Smooth Air 290,000 13 Cool Coal Man 212,767 14 Anak Nakal 212,216 (X) Eight Belles (f) 210,000 15 Cowboy Cal 207,660 16 Behindatthebar 204,500 17 Visionaire 202,500 18 Big Truck 194,500 19 Bob Black Jack 180,000 20 Denis of Cork 165,000 21 Halo Najib $157,996 22 Indian Sun $154,000 23 Tomcito $151,292 24 My Pal Charlie $150,000 25 Hey Byrn $140,000 Spent a good part of the a.m. today with David Carroll, and Denis of Cork who works 5/8ths tomorrow at 8:30 and looks terrific physically. Carroll is cautiously optimistic about the chances of Denis running and is still rather irked about having had his plan interfered with by Mike Ryan and Mark Reid. |
I wish Denis of Cork could make the trip. He's the only live futures wager I have left.

Not coming according to Haskin from Zayat's stable manager guy. (Zabu or whatever they call him). Derby Trial and Woody Stephens intended. That's as of yesterday... (And seems especially probable given that Halo could very likely get in with an injury/defection or two..) |

Steve: Any word form David Carroll about who would ride Denis of Cork should he get in the Derby field ? Albarado and Leparoux are already committed to other mounts. |

Poor Denis :(
I'm really pulling for him to make it in. He's not my favorite Derby horse, but I like him...my preference is no fillies to enter this year....please! Not optomistic about that at all, however. |

I don't think this question has been answered, will the owners for sure send Denis of Cork if he can get in? I would have no problem using him at 30-1, would seem like a similiar Bluegrass Cat choice.
