Got tix to see them in Orlando in May - cannot wait. Love the selection of Floor Jansen as the new lead singer, she adds a ton more dimension while still more than capable of seamlessly nailing the operatic falsettos made famous by Tarja Turunen. New album out soon, Endless Forms Most Beautiful ~an Homage to Charles Darwin - "There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.” And a new single, Elan~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPonioDYnoY |
I posted this on here a few years ago. I know this is George's song and Clapton played it with him a bit as well, but this version is incredible. Prince may be a little ecentric for some, but there is no denying the guy is one talented SOB. He just shreds the f*ck outta this solo the last 3 minutes.:tro::tro:

A Bucket List item for me is seeing Cowboy Mouth in New Orleans (Preferably at Tippitina's, but will take what I can get ;) ) Come to find out I'm in New Orleans this weekend, which happens to be the weekend of the 102nd Louisiana Derby at the Fair Grounds, WHO just so happens to be having a Cowboy Mouth Concert on the infield after the card. * * * Maybe a strange choice but as it would have been my sisters birthday (happy birthday, Michi) and I'm listening to one of her favorites, Exile on Main Street, this is one where I can not only see her face in my mind but hear her singing along with Mick as well. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=the7gV99YRI |

Listening and watching the beautiful and ever-joyful, continually expressive and all around most wonderfully exciting conductor, Gustavo Dudamel (thank you Dad for taking me to see him :) ), leading the ultra-talented Simon Bolivar Youth Symphony performing Beethovens 3rd (Eroica)...

They have so many great jams. Win Butler is right up there with B Flowers for my favorite band leader. Saw The Killers for the 8th time this weekend and they were AWESOME AGAIN (no pun intended)! They even covered a few KOL songs, as KOL had to cancel on us last minute Saturday night due to the storm. Firefly Music Festival allowed me to see Paul McCartney on his bday and BFlowers on his bday this weekend. Forever grateful! I love this version too, Coach. Good pull! |
Been listening to these dudes lately. They even throw in a horse racing reference in this one, even though we might not like it all too much :D
