I'm guessing with the Jets seconday, that they will be able to use somebody as a shadow on Tebow. Joey or Hoss would probably have a better grasp on that then me. But I honestly don't think Tebow's their biggest problem. They need to get the offense back on track. If they are able to get that going, I can't see Denver being able to stay with them.

I don't care how he got there.
If not his play than what? His intangibles, maybe. Both Decker and Miller were on espn yesterday saying the same things, the guy brings the team up and isnt scared to put it on his own back when need be.
Re: Ponder...I will take 2-8 62tds and a TD (plus one rushing) over 16-38 160 and an INT every day.
You all don't like him (as a QB anyway, I give everyone credit for speaking to his person and work ethics) but this town has really jumped on board and it has been fun. I hope they keep winning. :wf

So he has great intangibles? That is what you're going to hang your hat on?

I haven't seen this kind of irrational fandom since...well, Zenyatta. The results aren't completely different. Take the rose colored glasses off. You beat either terrible teams or a team whose QB was on his couch less than 2 weeks before he was rushed to the field. When you played a halfway decent team, you got smoked. Beaten so bad, John Fox wouldn't even commit Tebow as the QB rest of the season, just week by week. Now, because you beat the Chiefs, all of that is forgotten?

Just remember to come on back and update us on how the town feels at the end of the season.

Tebow is to an elite NFL QB as a 5k Claimer is to Zenyetta

9 men in the box and man to man on the wideouts. Denver wouldn't get a first down.

You can coach almost everything in football, everything except speed and leadership can be learned or taught. You play the team in front of you. Regarding the Lions, that pocket passing game plan was doomed from the start against their pass rush. I do not think they would have won running the offense they are now either, don't get me wrong, but some ball control and ground game probably would have helped against their splits (and total lack of recognition ability).
As far as my play referred to above, I no longer play anything at the highest levels so I haven't been "smoked" since I was 20 years old.
The town at the end of the season will be basking in sunshine at Vail or Breckenridge and looking back on a season that turned out better than expected...already has.

Seriously Joe..how can you take Denver? The Jets were EMBARRASSED Sun night and will be ready to roll. The Jets will put 8 on the line and dare Tebow to beat their corners, which he can't do. I think Jets by at least 14.

Because it is the NFL. Games like this are the reason I quit gambling on the NFL two decades ago. Looks like a complete no brainer, but there have been bigger upsets vs the line in the past....

The lines not 4 either. Its up to 6.5 some places. It feels like the Jets are 2 obvious, I like being on the other side.

I figured there's no way NY $$ would let that game go off at 4. And I get the "too obvious" part..and if it was anyone BUT Tebow...even Orton, I would strongly consider Home dog, but...

Probably get solid odds from someone giving 14, especially with their offense.

Fortunately, what I "think" about a game and how I bet a game are two seperate processes

I often have the same issue. Generally backfires. Though I was able to tease Va Tech -4.5 and Over 34 Jets Broncs. Could've had Jets PK but I cannot root for them as I am going to the game.

I'm missing most of this game because I can't take my eyes of the cat sleeping....much more interesting

you just missed shannon sharpe explain that mark sanchez (14-17 so far) inaccuracy is the problem with the jets offense.

highlights shown included 2 of his 3 missed passes.

wow...truly bad field position

MaTH716 11-17-2011 09:36 PM

If I'm John Fox, I'm bringing in Kyle Orton for the next series. They can't run and Tebow can't complete a pass, they are only down 7 and still have a chance to win this game.

MaTH716 11-17-2011 09:40 PM

If I was a Jets fan I would be very concerned with the lack of poise that Sanchez continues to show in the pocket.

This might be the first game I ever watched where both teams have a better chance to score when they are on defense.

MaTH716 11-17-2011 09:49 PM

That looked like a late hit on Sanchez.

MaTH716 11-17-2011 10:25 PM

Where the hell was this from the Broncos all night?

3kings 11-17-2011 10:31 PM

How can you have an all out blitz up the middle with a running QB?

Dahoss 11-17-2011 10:44 PM

:wf

Sanchez sucks, Tebow really sucks and that was by far the worst game I have ever watched in my life.

Just mind boggling. It was like God was all of a sudden the offensive coordinator for the Broncos. Where were these plays all night? He would have been benched if I was the coach.

A couple of other things,

That kid Miller is a beast.

Anyone else see Plax get mugged on the Hail Mary?

Some throw by Sanchez on 4th and 19.

What was Sanchez thinking about taking the timeout after that play?

Mike Mayock might be the worst color guy I have ever heard, boy did he suck.

This was a tough turn around for the Jets, Sunday night and then tonight. Looked like they struggled with the altitude a bit. That being said, this had the feel of the same old Jets.

I think you hit it all here. The other thing that sticks out is every mistake Sanchez has made (and there are a lot of them) really hurts the Jets. He sucks. I defended him a lot and it doesn't help him that he's had to deal with injuries, but he just hasn't done it this year. Too many dumb mistakes that should be out of his system by now.

Up until that last Broncos drive, Tebow had been held to 11 yards rushing and 69 yards passing.

It's little things too Hossy. In the first quarter after they ruled Holmes made a catch, Sanchez couldn't get them up to the line and snap the ball before Fox challenged. You could see Holmes was disgusted. It happened again later with the Plax ball (which the ruling stood), but the same thing, Fox had a chance to challange. On the last Broncos drive Rosario caught a ball that I thought could have hit the ground, but guess what, the holy roller got them up to the line and snapped the ball. Of course it never crossed the mind of those 2 idiots in the booth who seemed to be watching another game. But the point is that Rex never had a chance to challange cause they got the next play off immediately.

MaTH716 11-17-2011 11:03 PM

Oh I forgot to mention in things that I noticed post.

Cromartie doing his best Deion impression on the Tebow TD of not being able to get off a block to go make a tackle.

Agreed. Even how the 1st half ended. Sanchez showed no sense of urgency and instead of getting a few more yards, Folk had to try a 60 yarder (which he almost made). I think Sanchez lost any confidence he might have had in the Ravens game and he's struggled ever since. He's taken a lot of hits this year and just doesn't seem comfortable at all. The offense as a whole just hasn't seemed comfortable all year. With all of the identity stuff, who are they, etc. I don't think things are great in the locker room either, but that's just speculation.

Just a mess.

somerfrost 11-17-2011 11:15 PM

Tebow does it again! Tremendous 95 yard drive to win the game capped off by his 20 yard run....4-1 now as a starter this year. Anyone believe in karma yet?

Dahoss 11-17-2011 11:20 PM

Did Karma make Sanchez throw that awful pick 6? Because if it did, you got a believer in me. Send me a broomstick, I'm in.

King Glorious 11-18-2011 12:01 AM

Somewhere, Al Davis is smiling and saying "just win baby." Winning is still what they play for and once again, they got the job done. At some point, credit has to be given.

jms62 11-18-2011 04:40 AM

Worst loss in quite some time for the Jets. They knew the only thing Tebow could do is run and they can't isolate a LB on him... How soon will NY be calling for the fat ****s head?
