Maybe QR needs to take a break and wait for the BCC.

Why can't horse races run more than 6 times a year?

You must think he's going to do a lot of improving between now and the Breeders' Cup. Blame has run a number of races that are better than Lookin at Lucky's best.

NT

I have felt since day 1 that Lookin at Lucky has been an underrated horse.

People assume that since he was the 2yo champ he would not develop into a nice 3yo, but the way I see it, he was your atypical 2yo champion.

I thought that him being a late foal might possibly work to his advantage because he still had maturing to do and had more upside than most 2yo champs going into their three year old year.

I believe this has played out mostly true. If you completely dismiss his 2yo season and treat him as a late to get started 3yo, you'd see that he's a horse still on the improve. He's getting stronger, his races are getting faster and he's winning more easily as well (though getting off that synthetic crap might have a big part of this). If you toss his SA Derby and Ky Derby races, he's shown to have gotten better with each start, with his best two to date being the Preakness and Haskell.

And yeah, I do believe it to be a reasonable thing, tossing his two derbies.

Now, I'm not saying he's the next super horse, but I do believe him to be a really nice horse that does not get the respect that he should.

But you all put a lot of effort into it, nonetheless. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, I've been real involved in all of the discussions lately.

What's really comical is how fixated you are with what goes on there. Why not just put your tail between your legs, AGAIN, and beg to come back? That way you can take your shots there instead of hiding here (like Zenyatta).

Funny. When I glanced at the Whitney thread earlier tonight, you were in the middle of it, defending QR and bashing Z (like you usually do).

Fixated? Hardly. There are basically TWO racing related forums online. In between betting, I read some of the posts there and here. As I work out of my house and spend a good portion of the day online, I also frequent a few other forums/sites. This is hardly unusual.

The problem with Mike the Eunuch is that he doesn't play fair. He runs the forum and when things don't go his way, he bans people. His handicapping sucks and so does his opinion. Before he banned me the last time, I sent him a steady stream of PMs with BOMBS I'd posted at other sites. He really got a kick out of that.

As for my return there last year (or whenever), CJ suggested it. This is hardly the scenario you feel the need to depict. Of course, I could create another ID and post under it, like you were doing here for a while until DrugS busted you. ha ha ha

Anything else we need to clear up?

You didn't really pick ICE BOX for the Haskel, did you?

you keep me laughing.

That isn't the scenario at all and we both know it. Why you are lying about it is beyond me, but quite funny. The fact you feel the need to make up a long drawn out explanation is hilarious.

The Ice Box stuff is funny. Have you seen what I've done the last two days? Should I detail all of the losers you've put out? Is there enough bandwith here?

You keep me laughing. You might get me one day. Maybe. Pretty big FAIL so far though.

Check with CJ. He suggested, on this forum, in PM, that I reactivate my account.

Let's do this, since it seems you're focusing on my picks. Go back as long as you want and find 10 picks of yours, that you gave out, that paid OVER $30. When you find them, come back and we'll discuss it some more. Seriously.

I don't need to see what you've done, as I know you can't match my bombs.
The Ice Box pick and your 'misinterpretation' of Jackson Bend's trip in the Preakness were priceless.

10 DaHoss. Get to it. Don't bother me again till then.

Smooth Operator 08-07-2010 10:56 PM

The back and forth between fats and dahoss is one of the best things about this board. :D

You're delusional. No doubt about it. You can't get the best of me, because I'm every bit the handicapper you are and it kills you. Just admit it and move on already.

You have an okay opinion but are a losing player. That much is crystal clear. That is why you spend so much time telling people about how great you are. Feels like you spend a lot of time trying to compensate for shortcomings.

randallscott35 08-07-2010 11:23 PM

Not commenting on who is better b/c I find pissing matches to be no fun. But there is no question that you don't make money in the long term fat man b/c you play far too many races. Sorry.

I take this to mean that you're not going to be able to come up with those 10 instances of BOMBS. This saddens me to no end.

WHy do you have to respond here? LOL and I think just a week ago you said about me " I cant believe your allowed to post hear" You say more total bullshit then anyone, how would you know if he wins LONG TERM? Who knows if he posts all of his plays? I know when Im at work, or out at OTB or racino I NEVER POST THOSE PLAYS ON DT....
As for the one you defend, is it a coincidence all the issues the guy has with people? It used to be me on dt, I have witnessed many arguments with other people, now hes in a contest with some ******* on PA bashing him daily, same old ****.... Its not a pattern?

Whatever happened to TFM's cute little twitter page with his 4 followers. Now that was hilarious. Him whining about bad rides and track surfaces. I guess I would be pretty bent too if I gave out 120 consecutive losing picks.

As far as Ice Box. He has done enough. Especially after winning The Fla Derby at 25-1. Although my late pick 4 bet that I hit that day was beyond lame when I look back.

Why lower yourself to TFM's level. He's a guy with some knowledge of the game, but loses his ass betting. He is an easy target to put on tilt though

You wouldn't understand. It wasn't the shot at him you think it was, at all.....Anyone playing that much will lose over the long term. Period. Doug can explain it to you when you sit on his lap.

Andy said recently on a PA thread, actually its Hoss contest thread that he has made $ over time. Its pretty clear cut, I actually dont think FM plays that much, and the **** with Doug is getting kinda old... OK MINESHAFT, talk about Zenyatta HOLY **** who is the best horse Mineshaft beat? I liked him, he cant get within 10 lenghts of Point Given.

Who makes money, here or elsewhere, by playing multiple cards, concurrently (up to 6 tracks at a time), doing no advance handicapping, spending all of a minute or so on a race, watching no replays (for the most part), using NO figures, and playing 30+ races (or so) a day? NOBODY. Unless it's someone who has a black box program -- which I don't.

Now, since I've signficantly increased the number of daily plays I 'make' over the past 6 months, it follows that:

1) I have a reason for doing so
2) I'm not actually betting all these races (and am also not posting all the races I bet)
3) I have a gambling addiction

Whatever the case, I'm still waiting on 10 >$30 bombs for the past year plus from DaHoss.

randallscott35 08-08-2010 12:05 AM

Just to clarify RH10....my point has to do with scope and plays. I know full well people who can make money. And if you ask them, they aren't playing every race on a card or even every day...Fats is an above average player in my book. This game is hard to beat. We aren't BJ takeout here.

I have issues with people? Pattern?

You've got balls considering your history.

randallscott35 08-08-2010 12:13 AM

Now you give this board a BetFair like option in the United States? Easily 75% of the serious people on here are good enough to make money yearly on horses. But we don't have that option.

the only accurate statment in this pissing contest. these people that bet every race and every track NEVER WIN they are compulsive gamblers NOT handicappers. yesterdays card stunk between the 2nd and 6th race...4 maidens and a claimer. if you lost alot of money before the 7th race...you are not much. of course reading whats on here people think they can hit any race. the test and the whitney were very, very hitable with logic and common sense if you can pick races at all. you guys can fight over those baby races with first time starters and lose all the money you want betting half a dozen different tracks,,,....lol

You diden't know? Blame was a huge OVERLAY AT 3-1, just go see for yourself in the dream thread.

Coach Pants 08-08-2010 09:00 AM

I just find it funny how people in the padlock are so smart yet when I look for their picks they are nowhere to be found.

And isn't it great to see someone who doesn't post their picks degrade others with a cheap jab directed at people brave enough to give their opinions before the race.

Obviously it was an easy bet for the chicken s.hits...but not one person in the play along thread put win money on Blame.

So who is the one bs'ing?

CSC 08-08-2010 11:04 AM

6 pages, I don't see what the big deal is? Quality Road ran the same type of race as he did in the Travers last year. No surprise. He's a good horse that is just not as good as many think he is. I don't know why we need a Warren Commision to see the obvious.

He is, but that is being a one trick pony. Hey I admit he is a talented horse at 1 turn and in the spring; however to me his hype never matches the odds he goes off at.

Really?

Let's break this down a bit. Say you like Chapagne D'oro instead of the wiseguy horse you were gaga over. Say you also think Blame has a shot against QR. And, you also think Bonnie Blue Flag might get a piece. And, you have a NEGATIVE opinion of Pica Slew.

Then, you just might:

1) hit the $74.00 exacta in the Test (1 punch)
2) hit the $96.50 DD with Blame (for 2 punches)
3) hit the (one number) $18.20 exacta over QR

Of course, the only way to REALLY GET VALUE is Pick3's/4's/6's

5-1 and 3-1 suddenly take on a new meaning.

QR's meltdown at the gate in last year's BC turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him.

Surely would've finished up-the-track in that contest
