Great Pics Scavs, boy I wish I was there. You must be having a blast.

If you do another morning workout go up o the third floor and look around. You can go up to the roof and no one will stop you, great view and picture in dining area is awesome.

Made it back this AM with kids. Got to chat with Chuck a bit and meet the famous Cherie.

She looks great and we also got to see her neighbor Elite Squadron who is going in the feature today. Word is he can flat out run.

Went across the street to watch Cherie work out another horse on Oklahoma. Hung by the rail next to Bill Patcells and Shug M. Very cool...

Martin 07-30-2007 10:01 AM

Great Pic!

Okay now we are getting excited! Watched Saturday's races on the computer; can't wait to see everyone and our girl live. I can smell the BBQ now. Bringing the teenagers to finally meet her in person! Shorter ditance for us now from MTL. A big win and a big cocktail at Sirois!!!

PSH 07-30-2007 11:01 AM

Very exciting

Can't wait until next weekend when i get up there.

Not sure.... I have yet to see him in person. My farm manager in NY recommended him to me and we will get to see him next Saturday or Sunday.

He came that way. (Wiseman's Ferry - Sued)
My six year old wanted to name him Wind Devil.... He was not happy at first but seems to have gotten over it....

Got a chance to see SWLY yesterday. Boy, is she impatient! I couldn't get the peppermints unwrapped fast enough. She was so impatient she started kicking the stall with her left hoof until I delivered. Once she got her mints she was as sweet as ever. She made a friend for life with my wife. Her next door stallmate is a big colt named Elite Squadron who's going in the Amsterdam today. They had to add a partition above the regular wall between them to keep them apart. Maybe that's her new beau. Anyway, she looked and acted great.

Yeah, that leg kicking action scared the **** out of me, she was banging that metal hook, she has a great personality though

Riot 07-30-2007 03:31 PM

I'm glad the "non-horsey" owners get to meet Sumwon, and put a face and personality on the horses going around the track. Hey PMac, if your kids draw pictures of Sumwon, you have to photograph them and post them here - would love to see them :)

Thanks for all the pictures and the Sumwon and Saratoga stories!

AeWingnut 07-30-2007 10:58 PM

hmmm

well, first get a free account with http://www.photobucket.com

if the files are too large open them in paint and either crop them or just go to
Image

choose Stretch/ Skew and put in maybe 50% (whatever gets it to fit on the screen without scrolling) and save

then upload onto photobucket
click on the IMG code
it will copy it then paste the IMG code onto a post here

if that doesn't work tell me what error you get
I'm going to bed
good luck

"non-horsey" That's the first time I've been called that. My friends got a kick out of that.

I think Beth (Riot) was referring to pmacdaddy, but I had to laugh when it seemed that you were included in the "non-horsey" group.

That's why I said "STOP THE PEPPERMINTS" she now enjoys being pet and that should be enough. If she ever hurts herself whoever is feeding her the peppermints at that time should pay the vet bill.....And scavs is right her kicking action is a lot more vigorous, requiring a matt so she doesn't dig a hole and she's getting real close to that metal hook. This is not a cute habit.

GPK 07-31-2007 01:06 PM

Man...I am sitting on go..headphones on....and Byk gives the kid NO AIR TIME!!:D

This face was made for radio:cool:

Many Others 07-31-2007 01:29 PM

shouldnt laugh but can't help it - like chuck told us, Sumwon is real smart and is now determined to get those freakin peppermints - why couldn't the treats be switched from candy to carrots???

but wait it and do it after sunday, dont make her mad...

has she been lying down???

I didn't see her laying one time I was there. Probably because she knew that candy was available at a kicking notice

The few times that I saw her in the barn, she was too busy begging for mints to waste her time laying down. LOL Words can't describe the beauty and intelligence of this filly... the Dee Tee Stables partnership got really lucky with this one, guys. She looked sound as a dollar and very happy. Can't ask for much more.

Chekhov was across the barn from her on the other side and he also enjoys peppermints. These are some spoiled horses! :D

Cajungator26 07-31-2007 02:52 PM

I bet Scavs erased the cute pic of himself with the black smudge on his nose.

Sorry :o There are alot of folks on here that haven't ever really been near a horse, let alone run their hands over them or ridden them. I think it's great people get that opportunity if they want it.

Like BTW ... where's the pic of he sitting on Sumwon, Cherie holding the halter, and Chuck holding the sign that says, "Pony rides 10 cents"

Riot 08-01-2007 12:37 AM

Oh, wow, beautiful head shots of Sumwon with your beautiful family - thanks!

The guy on the airport floor ... priceless :D

I went to see the most popular horse at Saratoga, Sumwonloveyou, today with o to the e to the y.

She looked great, enjoyed getting pet.

I did not give her any peppermints, next time I go i'll bring some carrots but no sugar for that sugar addict!

Then joey and i got kicked out for not having passes!
