and i reject the suggestion that there's some middle ground between blind people and those that can see in a debate about what color the sky is. and that we need to weigh equally the opinion of those that have no sight.

it's not his fault the bronco's made a terrible decision. it's their front offices fault. if he weren't a first round choice none of this discussion would be taking place.

but that doesn't take away from the fact that he's a demonstrably bad nfl qb and won't be in the league as a starter beyond whatever time it takes for the bronco's to admit the obvious.

This could be true but before saying he won't be a starting qb, look at others around the league that are. Look at Beck in Washington who replaced the equally bad Grossman. Tavaris Jackson. McNabb and Orton were starters. Colt McCoy. Joe Flacco. Whoever starts in Miami. There are some bad starters out there. Tebow may be in the bottom 10% of starters but he's not the worst and he'll always be better than some of them out there and will be a starter in the NFL in my opinion.

I'm just going to continue to make a point for the f.uck of it. Because god-dam.nity I like to see my posts. Look at all that text, man! I've gotta be right! Maybe I can bore them into agreeing with me or get them to the point of telling me to go jump off a bridge. Just any attention. I ain't give a f.uck. Pay attention, son.

hey, no one tries harder than tebow...doesn't mean he has what it takes to be a top qb. karma...pfft. has nothing to do with it.

This is cerebral talk---stay out of it.

Just wanted to check in with somer and ask him why karma took the day off on Sunday. Certainly it couldn't have been Tebow sucking, it had to be an absence of karma.

Maybe Karma doesn't work at high altitudes.............

i know some people are taking the tebow mockers to task...that they shouldn't be bashing the guy for his faith. the guy's entitled to his faith-but really, does he think god gives a rats ass about a football game? he can't bring about world peace, and tim tebow is pestering him about a game? maybe gods message to tim is 'geez, timmy, you got a heisman and your team won the nat'l title, that's not enough?'

King Glorious 11-13-2011 03:31 PM

This whole thing is getting crazier by the weirder by the week. 2-8 passing for 69 yards.....but a 56 yd touchdown in the fourth. McGahee was out. Moreno went down first quarter, no serious recievers....but they win again. In a results driven league where you take wins where you can, he is getting them. Very odd things going on here.

Clip-Clop 11-14-2011 04:11 PM

This thing gets crazier by the week, one QB in the NFL has a better road record as starter.
Yesterday was a clinic in how to run without a back at all. I am enjoying it completely and laugh at the haters as the wins pile up. If he continues to win they are going to have some serious 'splainin' to do after this season is over. Worse QB's have had some great careers.
I am a Cowboys fan living in Denver so I feel compelled (perhaps by a higher power???) to root for him.
Going to the game Thursday so I really hope they bring it. Got some Jet fans from NJ visiting.

One either believes in karma or not, I do...many don't. It's not like I believe that his success or failure depends on karma, I just feel that good folks have positive karma on their side....and sure, bad things happen to good folks all the time. In the end, Tebow's skill set will determine his future, but as others have said, strange how he somehow ends up on the winning side so often. Finally, I agree Danzig, it's not world peace, it's football.

Danzig 11-14-2011 04:34 PM

i bet texans fans are hoping leinart has good karma. schaub has a foot injury, no telling how long he'll be out.

as for tebow, i get a kick out of espn being wrong. how long it'll last, who knows? also get a laugh out of 'tebowing'. the guy works his ass off, i give him credit for that.

hi_im_god 11-14-2011 04:58 PM

this reminds me of the good old days when people would come on to post their local temperture as proof that climate change didn't exist.

tebow has 3 wins against teams with a collective 11-16 record. his team is averaging less than 21 points/game in the 4 games he's started against defensive powerhouses miami, detroit, oakland, and kansas city.

i'll give him this. he's one hell of a fullback. but i'd still take ronnie brown's passing accuracy over his.

i'll take a stab at his stat line against the jets thursday: 5/16, 102 yards , 0 td's, 2 int. they won't win.

Trent Dilfer, jeff hosteltler, michael vick, mark sanchez, ben rothlisberger (once you rape a girl you lose all cred), rich gannon, doug williams etc. etc.
Kids played 7 games, some slack is due. And you can be sure he won't be raping anyone.

Climate change argument? Wow, he is important huh? Wins are wins in the awful afc west. Are the niners crap too? Their division sux. Must be an eagles fan.

your analogy sucks almost as much as tebow. san francisco has played 1 game against a division opponent so far. they're 3-1 against the nfc east and beat the same detroit team that dominated your boy.

they're better than average.

Clip-Clop 11-14-2011 05:20 PM

Anyone think Kyle Orton is a better qb than Tebow?

They have played the giants and cowboys as far as "legit" teams go. Cincy is still a joke and the third best team in the norris is no source of pride despite winning in denver, prior to reworking the offense to something that makes sense for the scenario.
Sadly "my boy" is Tony Romo and outside of yesterday, Tebow is better than him too.

This is really one of the dumbest posts ever on here. The group above has won at least 4 Super Bowls which will be 4 more than Tebow will win. There have been quite a few QB's that have gotten off to a good start yet failed miserably. You don't think NFL defenses will be able to stop the Denver veer offense after watching it on film for a few weeks?

Aside from Ben (who no longer matters as he rapes chicks) not one of the above has "won" a Superbowl. You have no understanding of high level competitive team sport or you would understand that.
Regarding the offense...good defenses will likely handle it sure, that said the way they tackle in the NFL these days lends itself to this offense handling many opponents.
As far as your prediction to Tebow's Superbowl wins, your ability to see the future is remarkable, please share in the selections thread more often.
