I expect the Jets to be better than the Pats this year. 12-4 Jets season. 9-7 maybe 10-6 for the Pats this year.

Antitrust32 08-09-2011 02:56 PM

Atlanta misses the playoffs.. Bucks win the South.

Green Bay wins the North, Lions 2nd.

Arizona wins the west with the only record .500 or better in the division.

Ravens miss the playoffs.

Pats improved their defense and got a much needed deep threat, hard to see Brady and Co. slipping back.

its funny... I was just about to type that I think Ochosinko and Haynesworth will do more chemistry damage than help. They are not team players.

Sanchez will show growth this year and the Temple DT Rex Ryan drafted will be a Pats killer.

On what planet is Ochocinco a deep threat?

somerfrost 08-09-2011 03:07 PM

Earth....

It's fine to say they have a winnable division (what division isn't?), but the Cardinals are by no means the most talented or well-coached team in that division. Heap is about 87 and hasn't had an injury-free season, well, in basically his entire career. If he's who Cards fans are banking on to be a great complementary receiver to Larry Fitzgerald, then the Cardinals may be worse off than I thought.

Are the Cardinals a substantially more talented team than the remade Panthers? I doubt it. The Browns, Bengals, Vikes, and Redskins all royally stink though, no denying that.

I'll double up on our Halladay bet that the Cardinals don't finish .500 or better this season.

Really? I highly doubt you've watched him play then. He's a possession receiver and a washed-up one at that.

And the Falcons look to be the best team not named Green Bay or Philly in the NFC. Let's see how the Bucs do playing a real schedule this year.

I'll pass... I already have a Cardinals bet going with Sniper & I dont want to bet much on a team that I really dont follow much. Just love me some Kevin Kolb :{>:

I'm really bummed our Halladay bet voided. There was no chance Jurrigens was winning the Cy Young anymore, and Halladay is the front runner. It was either I win $25 or dont win anything (Hamels, Kershaw or Lee gets the Cy Young)... but I would not have been losing money.

you took the words right out of my mouth.

Ochosinko was a very very good possession reciever, but I've never thought of him as a deep threat. Unless its a deep threat to be a chemisty buster.

its just a prediction, I think the falcons crash back to earth this year and are the 3rd best team in their division behind the Bucs and Saints.

slotdirt 08-09-2011 03:30 PM

The Falcons looked pretty legit last year. I think they're clearly better than the Bucs (who along with the Bears are my primary candidates for NFC teams with winning records last year to regress in 2011), and are probably still better than the Saints.

I also have an irrational Saints hatred, so there is that.

Well, you can be critical of my view but no matter which network you watch (ESPN, NFL Channel, Fox Sports) or even Yahoo Sports, they all say he will be...and, even "the hoodie" is on record as saying so.

A man who's been in the top 10 of YPC but once in his entire career is the man who will stretch the field for New England? That makes perfect sense. I'm guessing Albert Haynesworth would also be a great anchor should the Pats decide to go to a 3-4 as well?

Antitrust32 08-09-2011 05:38 PM

hey Slot we can do a $10 fun bet on who wins more games this year, Detroit or Tampa..

i know they'll be in the nfc east basement, the only question is whether they'll be the worst in the league.

embarrassing.

i thought i'd reached the lowest point when zorn had that fake play that he attempted to run anyway after the opposing team spotted it and called time...yeah, not even close to bottom.
