A layoff in '02 seems like a standard spacing between races for stakes horses these days :zz:

And my biggest Derby score.

It was yet another against the bias trip in a row for Go for Gin who chased Holy Bull on a big inside speedway in the Florida Derby and then same deal versus Irgun in that Wood.

Indian Charlie 03-15-2010 06:28 PM

Obviously Irgun, but I didn't remember him in the Gotham.

The Indomitable DrugS 03-15-2010 06:45 PM

Last one ....

One of the best NY Bred 2yo Turfers ever .... Name him ...

The Indomitable DrugS 03-15-2010 06:46 PM

Wow ... I forgot to block his name ... I'm sharp as a tack.

blackthroatedwind 03-15-2010 06:47 PM

Him I would have gotten anyway.

He was a freak.

I give PG85 a 30% chance to still get it wrong.

Indian Charlie 03-15-2010 06:53 PM

Too easy, even without the free pass.

That horse is pretty much synonymous with 'great turf nybreds'.

There is a cool built in tool in Windows 7 that makes posting these trivia challenges super simple.

Incurable Optimist could have been scary good. I think he blew a suspensory.

Yep. Had I not known what I was watching, I'd have guessed grade 1 older male when he was two.

The Indomitable DrugS 03-15-2010 06:57 PM

No race videos of him on YouTube ... only this super creepy stallion tribute video ...

Here's another one:
What stakes-winning horse named after a famous movie character did Incurable Optimist sire?

The Indomitable DrugS 03-15-2010 07:03 PM

Optimer?

Anyone name this disappeared closely related horse to Indian Charlie?

blackthroatedwind 03-15-2010 07:11 PM

He was actually a literary character....unless you only know Laurence Olivier from the Polaroid commercials.
