Another flashy Forest Camp from the 2yo sales.

Wraps from the beginning a little different. He was off.

DrugS, can you get the PPs for this horse's second dam, Inthefastlane?

IIRC correctly, she too, ran a good 3rd under difficult circumstances in her debut at Del Mar in the summer of '94. Came back to absolutely crush next time out by double digits rolling on the lead.

Proved to be just a one-dimensional speedball, folding like a cheap suit in a few stakes attempts. Did win a first condition a year later in 1:08+ but had things her own way.

Its a typical move from over-cautious Neil Drysdale, especially with his well meant horses.

Fusaichi Pegasus and Fusaichi Samurai also ran in front wraps right out of the box.

I can't get them for her ... but I have her race dates and went through charts of her races.

What a crazy horse.

She was beaten 15 and 19 in her first two starts.

Blew a 7 length lead after 21 and 43 fractions 3rd time out.

Won by 10 in hand 4th out.

Folded twice in stakes - won by 10 getting 6fs at Del Mar in 1:08 2/5 and stunk it up there after. Was claimed for just 8K in her final career start.

Likely ended up on a dinner plate in Japan.

Contessa on ATR last night and appears to have little interest in selling... Listen: Hour One

The truth about Avenging Spirit is that when he gets it together, that Contessa horse will never beat him going further than 6F.

He's battled sore shins for months. He's an extremely studdish horse, he chased a monster, tired a bit which can be understood and came out of the race a touch under the weather.

Well...

Now we know that is settled.
