For the group to probably say, yeh that was not smart, but thanks for the heads up.......maybe share some similar experiences

I will admit, I called one of those numbers for football once and realized it was a scam within minutes. As far as Horse Racing goes, I love to handicap (even though I suck at it most of the time). But the feeling you get when you dope out a race and nail it is tremendous. By getting picks would just cheapen something that I like love to do.

purchasing race analysis (the wizard or whatever) as an adjunct to your own handicapping is one thing. anyone purporting to offer big winnings and blockbuster scores should be avoided. as someone mentioned, the selections area on Dt is probably better than most of the touts, and the price is right!

When I put my money on a horse, it is my desire to win....am I greedy because of that desire? ...if so, then so be it.
By attending workouts and then betting on the basis of information that others don't have, am I cheating the rest of ya?...if so, then so be it.

Generally speaking people bet on horses hoping to make money...the basis for whom they choose to wager upon may come from tip sheets...their own handicapping...touts...stable connections....lucky numbers...favorite colors.....favorite jockeys....cause the horse took a dump in the paddock....ect ect. None of these systems are fool proof.
What is the big deal if someone wants to pay for selections...

no problem with the greed part, or desire to make money or using hard work to obtain an edge over others.
paying for selections that are obtained by paying people for inside information seems sleazy and not legit.

Yeah, if you are actually making money in the long run then you'll make more by keeping your mouth shut and improving your payouts. The only reason to sell picks is if you are losing in the long run and hope someone latches on when you have a hot streak and will continue to pay for your picks.

I don't think it is cheating to pay for those picks. Just laziness and stupidity.

I read it that; Anonymous fell for a scam...lost some money and is alerting others to avoid his/her mistake....the scumbag here is the one selling the bogus info...anonymous is simply the (hopefully now smarter) mark

Speaking of watching workouts... Remember that horse you gave me on Travers day last year.. a maiden (that you saw workout) who was supposed to be a longshot but went off as like a co-favorite and won the race in a tight finish and I think maybe survived an inquiry..

Do you know what happened to that horse? I cant remember his name for the life of me except that he was the 12 horse I think.

He went on to win a G3 a few months later I think. Now a Victor or something like that. 15-1 morning line, went off at 5-2.

I'll look at my records/notes from last year and get back to ya with a name...not sure what happened to the horse

It was definitely Now a Victor. Won the Discovery and ran 2nd in the Pegasus. Don't think he's run since.
