I agree that Holy Bull was better, at least when he was 3, but Cigar ran some very nice races in 1995. His Oaklawn Handicap was very strong.

Up to 9F I think Holy Bull would have had his number each and every time..

At 10F Cigar would have had the advantage..

You are confusing Spring House (who proved himself as perhaps the best American turf marathoner around when a sneaky 3rd by 6 lengths at Hollywood Park) with Spring At Last .. who tanked on Wood Day.
