Trappe Shot inadvertently left off Sprint entries!

Do'h!

Still likely for the Dirt Mile, but should be added to Sprint list just in case...

I have really mixed feelings cause while I'd love to see him with a big, fat zero I do think both Thirsty and Mo have a shot...

Those two and Havre de Grace...

I'm wondering if anyone else has a shot but don't see it. Not at this moment anyway...

That horse is the Twirling Candy of the UK. Lots of listed and Group 3 wins to speak of, but where are all the Group 1s? Curious that after his big win (in a Group 2), he was held out of some big races in July. Finally reappeared in August in the Juddmonte International and got absolutely blitzed by Twice Over, a horse that is at the absolute edge between Group 1 and Group 2 status.

Yeah, yeah, I know, he had the mysterious 24-hour bug conveniently discovered after he got spanked. Sure enough, he hasn't started since and suddenly, after spending most of the summer pumping him up as their BC Classic hope, he reverts to the Turf. Wouldn't be shocked if he's sent out there simply to make pace for their best hope, St. Nicholas Abbey.

Well I like him. Shoot me!

(Didn't he almost die from that "24 hour bug"? Just sayin...)

I thought that was a nice field (the Hardwicke) and he knows how to win.

For anyone who wants to take a look...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS1KtaoYaSw

As an aside Campanologist has since won the G1 Preis Von Europa at Cologne on Sept. 25th and just won the G1 Gran Premio del Jockey Club E Coppa d'Oro at San Siro a week or so ago.

You might be right Mr. Tomasi... maybe he'll just be the rabbit... who knows.

I like him though and hope he comes and stays healthy and then we shall see.

5-0-1 from 7 incase anyone was wondering...

Those fields in both Germany and Italy are incredibly suspect. Who'd he face...Indian Days? There is more quality in the BC Turf than anything Campanologist faced in those races, which doesn't exactly make St Nicholas Abbey a superstar in my opinion.

It was Await The Dawn who beat Campanologist. St. Nicholas Abbey, who's career thus far has followed a similar pattern to Yeats, made short work of Midday earlier this year, and ran fairly well in the Arc de Triomphe.

Dean's Kitten or dual G1 winner Voila Ici?

Brilliant Speed or dual G1 winner Earl Of Tinsdal?

Good point.

I'm with you... he has a shot.

My point was just that I like this other one and glad to see him back, and probable.

Good Lord I'm not saying he's my lock or my pick or anything but he knows how to win and he's beat some decent types. :)

I'm disappointed with the sprint and dirt mile. One of them needs to go.

Calzone Lord 10-31-2011 01:56 PM

That's a great draw for Uncle Mo if they have the CD track playing like it did last year (with the inside paths a little deep)

Drawing outside of Game On Dude was very key. Drawing inside of GOD would have really made things more difficult for him at 10fs.

I was going to throw-out Uncle Mo -- but now I'm thinking of building a ticket around keying a horse like Headache in the 3rd and 4th slots in exotics.

The three shortest prices on the morning line are all horses who I think can finish 5th or worse if they don't run to their good race.

I don't love Havre De Grace at 10fs in a big field/solid paced race.

Take the 14 best from those two races -- and you would have had a REAL fun race (albeit one with a lot of choas potent)

I think there is more speed in the Mile than the Sprint. Not sure how that played out.

The sad part is that neither horse has really done enough to warrant a start in the race.

They should be targeting the Discovery at Aqueduct as a springboard to next year.

I hit a very nice tri last year in the in the Juvy because of Mike Battagglia.
Just because Rogue Romance was 30:1 in the Morning Line. (he went off at 8.9:1....4th choice)

The Uncle Mo-- Boys @ T exacta paid $17.80
The Uncle Mo-- Boys @ T -- RR Trifecta paid $147.20

Quite a difference between the first choice over 2nd choice exacta, versus the 1st over 2nd over 4th choice Trifecta.
I remember waiting on the payoffs to be posted and hoping I would get $60 for every $2.

Make the Morning lines work for you, when Capping this years BC.

Fantastic Song is listed at 2-1 in the DRF. Was thinking WTF? until I realized it should have been 20-1, which makes a lot more sense.

i noticed a lot of europeans are high on this horse. My question is, nobody overseas has mentioned Zoffany. If you can toss his last race here in america (which some might not want to), it seems like he kept similar company with Strong Suit overseas, and a 3/4 loss to Frankel.

To me the major difference between Zoffany and Strong Suit is the form they are in. Zoffany hasn't lifted a hoof in his last two (without any real excuse), whereas Strong Suit seems to be getting better.
