Sherril...Took every chance we had away. What ya gunna do when someone chokes that badly? Against the law to shoot him. Phils fans should buy that white trash a fishing boat in Tennessee, or whatever dump he calls home. Last year it was Billygirl CHOKING. This year Kershaw/SHERRIL doing huge CHOKER damage. They were o.k. in the 1st series, but choke city again in the 2nd series this year. Dodgers gunna have another shtty winter trying to get over gettin' beat by the same fkn team. That is so loser. If you can't get up for avoiding losing to the same fkn team, then when are you gunna get up? |

At least I'm not a selfish Conservative. You want to give a prize to Sherril for fkn up our chances? Great. Support people that fail due to nerves they should long ago have dealt with. I'm sure he'll be fine in the regular season. He's just not ready to be a champion. We just happen to find these people, and the Phillies just don't. Of course, they don't show their pssy selves until primetime, and then ..woops! ...oops!,..Woops! It's one game. He'll be fkn lefty Nolan Ryan the next game. Have faith. That turd didn't really just do that. Your negative outlook caused him to be this way. Be positive, and surely he'll be clutch like a Philly. Right? Sure. Still say PHILLY FANS SHOULD BUY THIS WHITE TRASH A NICE FISHIN' BOAT. It's the least they can do for the guy that was so very nice to them. When you're watching Phillies celebrate with glee, remember to praise the fine work done by this Sherril in game 1. That's the positive thing to do. Give praise to some piece of sht that destroys you from the inside out. Guess all Dodger Fans should be positive about that guy Casey Blake turning it around, too? Huh? Looked like a slow 70 year old farmer trying to keep up with real athletes. No dice, fkn unibomber. Amazing how the 2 biggest chokes from last years NLCS (BROX n' Billygirl) weren't even needed to choke this away. Sherril(8th,)Kershaw(5th,) Blake(whole f'n game,) Furcal (6th,) Manny(8TH.) It's pretty hard to win if ya got to score like 9 runs. 7 walks is quite a lil choke effort. |

SPOILED!?!?!? last year was the first time I've been able to celebrate any type of Philadelphia championship in my LIFE. Please do not compare the Yanks and the Phils. They are nothing alike, except the fact they are both playing good baseball right now. |

The walks hurt you bad. Sherril did put in a choke job. Ya cant give the PHillies ANY breaks or they will take advantage... thats just how the Phils play October baseball. We had a few choke jobs ourselves. If rollins/utley turn that double like they are supposed to this game would have been easier on the heart. Madson choked it up in the 8th, thank god he only gave up 2.. could have been worse. Looks like the Phils will be pitching fast and inside to Manny the whole series. Lidge looks to have some confidence back though I will never trust him. Hamels pitched well for a few innings and then threw his teammates under a bus and let it mess with his head.. then gives up a big homer to Manny. (did you see Hamels have a temper tantrum when rollins/utley fucl<ed up?) I'm sure as a pitcher you'd be upset but you dont throw your hands up and yell like a baby, you just do your job and eliminate more damage. Cole showed some bad character last night. He hasnt been pitching well all year. I know Charlie wont do it but he deserves a benching for that little act he put on. The umps were bad but at least they were equally bad for both pitchers. I kinda felt bad for Kershaw for a bit (well not really) but then was over it when I saw the Phils pitchers get the same calls. Its gonna be a long series Scuds, though it is probably in your best interest to win tonite (I hope Pedro comes out firing - though he hasnt pitched in FOREVER). Its an unfortunate break that you have the PG1985 curse though. He's the guy who deserves a white boat in TN. |
both starting pitchers failed scuds
the philly bullpen (save madson) did their job and if the they continue to do the job they are home free , dodgers will need to get to the pen , the 1 postive out of the 9th was that the 1st 2 pitchers hit Lidge hard , but when you hit it right at the 2nd baseman it don't matter , the dodgers will have to beat him at least once to win the series |
In the span of a year it's becoming clear that Cole Hamels is a whiny little b.itch. He cried about the start time of the division series games, he will not ever pitch in a game where he doesn't have full rest and his little arms thrown up tantrum after the botched double play last night was sickening. He needs to grow a pair before he gets back out there.

SCUDS has every right to be pissed. 14 hits and they still lost. That is garbage.

i texted my brother after the game "I think I had three heart attacks" and he called me a typical Philly fan. my response was "hey the dodgers had a ton of hits and left a ton of runners in scoring position.. its not like this was some dominating win" It boils down to confidence and October baseball and games like last night and Colorado game 4 is why the Phillies are defending their World Championship right now. |

LOL. I cant relax. Baseball playoffs are the most nerve-wrecking of all the sports. I'm even dreaming about Ryan Howards swing instead of Megan Fox's naked body. Edit - I imagine for hockey fans the playoffs are just as intense. Football you only play 3 or 4 games total and you just get wasted for each game. Pro basketball just sucks and the playoffs last forever. |

I agree, I was depressed for about 2 weeks after the Red Sox got beat by Tampa last year. This year, not so much because they were an average team and it was only a matter of time for them to lose. I hate Jonathon Papelbon so it was a silver lining seeing him blow game 3. I saw most of the game last night but I was fall down drunk by the end of it so I dont recall much after the 7th inning. Seemed like a good game. |

Phils in 5 |
At some point the announcers have to comment on their TBS strike zone showing tons of pitches as strikes that were called balls. Please at least acknowledge that that your graphic is a piece of sh it or the ump is squeezing the pitchers.
|
The ump was totally squeezing the pitchers.. I thought the TBS morons mentioned it once or twice. I think they were rooting for the dodgers last night. all they did was cheer for dodgers and even when the phils were up 5-4 they were raving about how well LA was playing.
I wish i had a radio and lived near philly so I didnt have to listen to those queers. |

As for the Phils, ugghhhhhh. I'm surprised that the Phils bullpen blew another one. Utley needs to stop doing his best impersonation of 8 Men Out and get his $hit together, pronto. |
Same thing as last year. You can fix mechanics, but you can't make this woman compete like a man. Two years in a row, she has thrown it right down the middle (batting practice, folks) in game 4. Both times, it gave the Phils a 3-1 lead in the series. Both times, she has knocked the Dodgers from out of any shot to win the series. I'm not kid'n, if she is on the roster next year, I will not be watching any Dodger Games. They have no shot at getting anywhere if they continue to keep thinking she is going to improve her mental abilities. She will not. I've said this all along. She is a talented woman. Trade her. I said it last year. I say it again. Trade her. You can't beat warriors with this woman. She's a disgrace. I'm telling you right now, like 95% of MLB players would of punished that sorry, disgraceful pitch. Eckersley is saying he was hurt by the long top of the 9th inning etc. Folks, this is a woman, k? End of story. Someone should of taken care of this woman last year. Obviously, they aren't gunna trade her. Somebody is gunna have to step up, and do things the organization is too pssy to get done. Phils' fans should put this fat cnt candy in their will. You must love this cancer. You must be laughing at how pssy this organization is to allow this cnt to do this again. Right down the middle. No movement. Straight as can be. Who can't hit that? 50% of stank grandmas could of hit that. This piece of sht has the nerve to say "it's just one of those nights" Uh, no it ain't. Again, you, your own fkn self ended the season, because you are a chokin' pssy. You're only allowed to live, because nobody wants to go to jail for offing your sorry a-s-s. I knew after the 1st pitch in the 9th. I have seen his pssy ways. That had pssy all over it. Looked like some outside ball to most people, but I have seen that scared outside wounded bird stuff before. Told myself this guy is gunna fk us again, and he did.
|
I know that pssy was gunna give up as many runs as it took to lose. So, it's not a huge deal, but that last pitch to Ethier in the top 9th was so far out of the strike zone. It's just a joke. He was inconsistent all night, but that's our best hitter in the 9th inning of a 1-run game. The guy deserved a look at another pitch. I don't remember this part of the game ever being this out of control.
|
I don't know if it's legal for Utley to block the base with his foot, but teams need to start to knock Utley out of the way when they slide into 2nd base. They did that later in the game, and they're gunna have to do that on steals. If it's legal for him to block it, then they need to bust him out of the way. If he's doing it illegally, then they still need to knock him down, because they aren't gunna call it.
|
That's it about this subject. Ain't writing about this for a few months, because it was preventable. If people in the organization had a real way of properly reacting to problems, then goals could be accomplished. "Sun Shine In," and "things happen for a reason" aren't good management techniques. You gave this choke another opportunity to fk you, and he took it. You had a choker a year n' a half ago. You had a choker a year ago. You had a choker tonite. You deserve to get fkd over by Philly. Beggin them for it. I told you to trade this bastard a year ago. Nooooooooooooooooooooooo..You wanted another fkn. You got it.

Do you think Joe Torre is a lucky idiot? I'm starting to.

Charlie needs to make sure these boys stay focused and intense after that super-emotional theft last night.
Just get THE MAN (Hamels) a little run support and let him seal the deal tonight... |

I know its my team and all but Hamels is THE WOMAN this year. Still pissed at him for disrespecting Chase Utley like he did the last game Hamels pitched. Hamels acted like he's never made a mistake eventhough he's pitched below average all year long. He needs to grow a pair and throw a perfect game if he expects everyone else to be perfect. He deserves to be benched for this start. I wouldnt be surprised if he gets boo'd a little on Wednesday. |
Ya know SCUDS, I like you and all, but its ashame that you have to be a Dodgers fan. You are a true fan but damn, the Dodgers stadium is empty for the first few innings EVEN in the playoffs. Ya guys dont make any noise like the Phils fans do. Bunch of fairweather pansys. Dodgers fans = Broxton. And then you feel the need to complain about Philly fans. This dude TJ Simers is a fucl<ing loser.
As you know, Fox will be broadcasting the World Series and it likes to put the camera on the face of every single fan sitting in the stands, these fans as ugly as any in the country. Nowhere in America are people more angry than those living here. During Game 3 they had their humorless furry mascot put on boxing gloves and take on someone who was supposed to be an L.A. fan, sunglasses, cellphone and all. The furry mascot punched him out, much to the delight of the folks here who love a dash of violence with their sports entertainment. During Game 4 the furry mascot took a small Dodgers blue helmet, placed it on the ground and then pulverized it, much to the delight of the locals. Same tired skits, by the way, they employed a year ago. But this is considered entertainment here, the only bright spot if they draw the Yankees now, getting a look in the mirror at fans who might remind them of themselves. http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-...08,full.column Fucl< you BJ Simers for this bullcrap. I wish our furry mascot would beat you into the ground, just like Rollins beat that fastball. We are not like Yankees fans, thats the worst insult you can get. Simers sounds like he still hasnt gotten over last years ass pounding. This series isnt over by a longshot but I hope this Simers cun.t has to write another crying whining pansy article. Its too bad you are a dodgers fan scuds, you would be a better Phillies fan. Greatest chant ever is "YOU TOOK STERIODS" i wish every opposing stadium would cheer that to Manny for the rest of his career. If we get through this series.. a rod is next.. |
Cut the World Series MVP some slack, Antitrust32
He's an intense competitor busting his a*s out there trying to make good pitch after good pitch to some of the best hitters in the league in the biggest games of the year. If Utley and Rollins can't handle a look of disgust from their pitcher when they blow a routine double-play ball, they're the little girls, in my opinion. |
[quote=Antitrust32]Ya know SCUDS, I like you and all, but its ashame that you have to be a Dodgers fan. You are a true fan but damn, the Dodgers stadium is empty for the first few innings EVEN in the playoffs.
Thats a good thing imo...its simply an east coast-west coast thing. West coast fans dont seem as passionate and freaky intense as us east coast fans. Philadelphia, NY, Boston...its just different. I went to a Dodger-Giant game in September a few years back in Dodger stadium, and the playoffs were very much on the line. I was amazed how my friend and I walked up to the ticket booth a 1/2 hour before the first pitch, bought tickets for about $25 that would have cost $100at Fenway (about 15-20 rows from the field, near 3rd base). Further amazed how we could talk as if we were in a library, even deep into the game, which went was finally decided in the bottom of the 9th by a walk off. I actually would prefer being able to go to a stadium like Dodger stadium instead of Fenway. I like the quiet and the cheap prices of seats. As a Red Sox fan, going to Fenway has become too much of a pain in the ass, and the experience isnt nearly as good as staying home watching the game on TV. The fans there are very rude, even towards fellow Sox fans. I hate loud, obnoxious people. Even if they are Red Sox fans. |

Oh Utley and Rollins handled it alright. Utley drove in run 3 last night and Rollins won the game with one of the greatest hits in Phillies history. Its Hamels that didnt handle it. He threw up his hands and made that face. Instead of supporting his teammates (who have supported Hamels all career with big plays in the field and at bat) and brushing off the error and getting out of the inning only giving up 1 run, he whines and gives up a huge homer to Manny. I'll cut him some slack tomorrow if he goes out and pitches great and doesnt throw any teammates under the bus. |
