good luck to Al-Deb and am really glad KNS :{>: got to make the outing!! Stuck at work as usual not sure will even get to see live and no time to mess with exotics, called in across-the-boards on both of em at Noon - now checking equibase quick results see the #10 won the 4th paying a nice $25.40 so see no reason why there can't be two more #10s today if that makes any sense LOL - good luck and safe trips to all, horse and humans...

tigerfan 09-28-2009 03:34 PM

Good luck to all today.
Just realized the race times were in Central time and not Eastern time. I'm going to be home in plenty of time to throw on TVG and watch the girls race. :)

Uncle Daddy 09-28-2009 04:01 PM

Good luck to the girls and all our connections. Nothing wrong with a home cooked double to end the day.

Heels1989 09-28-2009 04:25 PM

KnS's jock was just dumped in Race 7. Hope he is OK.

Hickory Hill Hoff 09-28-2009 04:37 PM

The 10-10 "D.T." double stands at $25 with 10 minutes to post!

freddymo 09-28-2009 05:07 PM

Is the filly ok she seemed to toss the anchor out very early

pointman 09-28-2009 05:15 PM

Aldebutante did not look good, anyone know where she finished? Seemed to have no interest. I hope she just hates turf and poly because there is not much positive that we can take out of that unfortunately.

KNS looks competitive here and hopefully picking up Mena puts her over the top, Good Luck everyone.

Heels1989 09-28-2009 05:18 PM

Very nice second for KnS. Time for a well earned vacation.

geeker2 09-28-2009 05:20 PM

There is medication laws at Penn National or Philly Park?

SuffolkGirl 09-28-2009 05:31 PM

KNS, as always looked great and put in a great effort - she was never going to catch the 4 but she put it out there anyway - gotta love her. And a nice price too.

Looking forward to news on Aldeb - she got one mention on TwinSpires videonand it was not positive - something about, Aldebutante has left herself a lot to do!!

Sort of depends on your vet. Imagine 25k claimers in Ca. go for 27k and 40k in Pa. got love slots. Remember nickels used to go for 19k at the mountain.. Those were the days you would claim them somewhere for 15 and drop them into 5's

The news is she isn't very fast..

horseofcourse 09-28-2009 05:34 PM

Another solid effort for KNS. She always gives it her best.

Svav, I would love for Aldeb to have a real excuse, but I can't say I saw one there. She didn't lift a hoof and unless we find out that something happened to her to excuse that, it is real tough to spin her form in a positive direction right now. Hopefully she wants dirt and is just not a poly/turf horse.

KNS on the other hand is a horse you just have to love. Great ride by Mena, the 4 was much the best, but she was clearly second best with a terrific effort. Runs hard every time and is just a pleasure to watch. With the 1 out, the price was square here against a suspect field beyond the 4. Nice job by Chuck, crew and Mena for a great result under the circumstances. I hope the bug is ok, but picking up Mena definitely helped up today.

Trust me, I know. But I am also not talking about it after she runs like that.

To me, it is kinda like this to me, You just beat the crap out of someone at a bar, his girlfriend is mending the wounds, cleaning up his face, after all that, you then turn around and kick him in the teeth.

Piling on or adding insult to injury....

freddymo 09-28-2009 06:11 PM

Scavs nobody is kicking you or punching you.. She isn't much no biggie it happens every friggin day. The half to Munnings is a slug and he is a Dynaformer. You have to be lucky and good. All you can do is get them to the track healthy and fit you can't make them fast

Swale84 09-28-2009 06:43 PM

Congrats to Chuck and his crew for the job they have done with KNS this year. Well spotted and ready to race, while compiling an 8 2-2-2 record.

As far as Aldeb, i think she is entitled to a start on a dry fast track before we pass judgment. She was pointed for a start at Hoosier, but with issues there ended up with a turf try today

Kasept 09-28-2009 06:49 PM

Spoke with Chuck who is on the 2 hour ride back from KD. Obviously an up and down afternoon...

Aldebutante, who broke well and had fine early position, simply refused to run when Aldo asked for real effort. And when he hit her a couple of times, she totally stopped trying. Chuck said she worked herself up pretty good pre-race, and Aldo added she really wasn't too interested warming up. She's a problem case. Very frustrating. We will finally get her back to dirt next out though. (The intent had been for this start to come at Hoosier on the main until the strangles quarantine scuttled it.) And Chuck is likely throwing the hood on her for focus.

As for KNS, what else is there to say? She was a maniac in the paddock and just couldn't wait to run. It took John Fahey, Chuck, TC and the pony to contain her. Chuck knew Sunday she was going to put in a good effort when she couldn't be kept on the ground. Funny that the winner was back on 7 days and Kickin on 5. (And, she lost the weight break when we lost Miss Rossi.)

Interesting experience, and another venue visited! Hope everyone enjoyed the upbeat finish and aren't too disappointed by the first half of the day's endeavors. More tonight from Chuck when he gets back to the Ville.

Danzig 09-28-2009 07:00 PM

sorry aldeb didn't have a good day, but good news on kickin with yet another on the board finish. she's turned out to be a heck of a claim, and a lot of fun for the stable.

PSH 09-28-2009 07:06 PM

KNS

KNS continues to put in a solid effort almost every tme out. Not much more you can hope for and glad she picked up another decent check for her effort... Hope she can run again this year as she is a joy to watch.

Aldeb just needs to be on a dirt surface under the right circumstances.

Steve I bet she is back pacing in her stall as we type. I've never seen a more maniacal horse in my life. If she were human she'd be in the padded cell for sure.

herkhorse 09-28-2009 07:44 PM

Thanks to Steve, Chuck, and all involved for another great day at yet another track! Love these double headers, even if I have to watch them on the computer.

KNS has become Dee Tee's Iron Horse, runs her heart out every time.

Halfbridled 09-28-2009 08:29 PM

Kickin has become quite a consistent horse lately! She's certainly proven she can step up beyond 5ks.

Isn't this the first time Aldeb didn't lift a hoof? I mean she hasn't set the track on fire in the past but this seemed a little uncharacteristic of her so maybe it had to do with the track. I wouldn't give up on her, especially before trying dirt.

LaReason 09-28-2009 10:40 PM

Just wanted to give everyone an update on Oriana Rossi, who was supposed to ride KNS before a spill...

She is okay, out of the hospital and is very sore and bruised up. Somewhat similar to me (thank you, Missus Mayflower)...
