Here's wishing KnS, Chuck and gang and all DT'ers a great day @ AP! Have lots of fun and safe travels to all! We'll be awaiting for all the details here later!

pgiaco 07-24-2008 07:32 AM

Good Luck to the whole KNS team!

Bigsmc 07-24-2008 07:40 AM

I just got a call and my 4pm meeting today, is cancelled!

I missed Kickin's win and thought I was going to have to watch this one on replay too. I must be living right.

Good luck to KnS, TC and the rest of the Simon Racing gang.

herkhorse 07-24-2008 07:43 AM

Good Luck!

A little less Kickin in the paddock, and more Screamin down the lane...

Many Others 07-24-2008 10:29 AM

same problem here but if a cancel can happen to you, can happen here also LOL, and if mine doesn't cancel have a back-up plan - race goes off at 2:59 central, meeting supposed to end at 3:00, at 2:53 p.m. gonna have big obnoxious coughing fit have to excuse self - should work!!

have a good feeling about today, if they can get Velez up on her back and outta the paddock think everything will be okay and she'll take care of the rest of the job - GOOD LUCK AND SAFE TRIPS TO ALL...

I think her chances just improved significantly:

3 Casablanca Babe - scratched
5 Hayley Go Blue - scratched
8 Ca Ching The Green - scratched

Yeah, I'd say so, anytime you lose the 9/5 favorite that goes a long way.

Sweet, she has real good shot now and I believe she gets check just for crossing the finish line. Good luck today everybody, let's get two in a row! :D

SniperSB23 07-24-2008 02:38 PM

Looks wide open, we have as good a shot as anyone, hopefully that is for first not for last.

SniperSB23 07-24-2008 02:39 PM

COMCAST SUCKS MY LEFT NUT.....P.O.S. MONOPOLY is experiencing technical difficulties in my neighborhood at the worst possible time.

GL Team DeeTee...May she run well and come back safe!!

pweizer 07-24-2008 03:03 PM

A very good second. This horse just earns checks.

Can't complain. If she won and didn't get claimed I can't imagine we'd have many options from there.

TheSpyder 07-24-2008 03:05 PM

Agreed with no pace pressure that was not bad at all...in it to the end.

Was she a gaining second or tiring late?? Did she ever have the lead in the stretch??
Congrats nonetheless...

Thanks in advance...

No gaining. Held at bay by the winner. The winner started to pull away at the top of the stretch and KnS was the only one that went after her, but she couldn't close the gap at all.

The 4 was claimed by Calabrese.

pmacdaddy 07-24-2008 03:12 PM

Solid second. Very nice.

It was an open claimer. Had she won, she could run right back at the same condition or you bump her slightly. Or, for that matter, drop her and try to get a win and a claim, if you are so inclined.

Many Others 07-24-2008 03:17 PM

KNS is sure a hard-trier, honestly have to give her credit - thought physically she looked very well also thanks to Team Simon - congrats on another job well done - will check back later for trip reports and pics, everyone have a good rest of afternoon !

That's good to know, she should be competitive at that level for a while if no one grabs her.

ddthetide 07-24-2008 03:22 PM

nice second ! great job chuck and tc! thank you!

pointman 07-24-2008 03:44 PM

she ran a very solid second, considering that they let the 1 walk 1:14 and change she had no shot at winning, I am impressed she finished well being so close to the lead. Velez gets along nicely with her, nice job Chuck!

31lengths 07-24-2008 03:49 PM

I take it that she behaved well in the paddock?

She ran very well considering the lack of pace. She tries very hard and was good in the paddock today which may have been due to TC schooling her about a hundred times since the incident. It seems like every time i called him the last 2 weeks he was either going to the paddock with her or coming back. Hope everybody that was there had a good time. The next condition book will be out soon and we will see if a similar spot appears. And if anyone knows about a rabbit we would be willing to rent one.

2 Dollar Bill 07-24-2008 05:10 PM

Just got back from a long PA run and didnt get a chance to see the race.. sounds like she did well, came back ok, and we get a check... Thanks to Team Simon !!!

Nice job and congrats to the connections, Thxs TC...

Are Loach or Lustra still alive?

Agree it was a very solid effort for KnS. The #1 is a grizzled veteran (10 wins for 160K). Could she get a lifetime top BSF based on the 2 1/2 length loss to the #1 while running virtually the same race as last time out(1:39 for a mile on the poly) when Stage Glitter recieved a 73 BSF. Can't believe she was 8-5 at one point against this field. Great job by T.C. and the gang getting her ready again. Once again Chuck demonstrates his keen eye for horses with this claim. 6 starts/ 1-2-1 for 20K as a Dee Tee runner. IMO this horse still has room to improve as she got to the races very late and seems to still be learning. Congrats to everyone involved with Dee Tee Stables and thanks again to Steve and Chuck for letting me tag along.
