Set-Up?? She was a length in front the entire way around. At the top of the lane, Reneesgotzip comes up beside her, and catches 2 whips in the face from Garcia. I'm far from a pedigree maven, but a Malibu Moon (A.P. Indy) filly, out of a Giant's Causeway mare is going to have issues at 9f??

Now I'm confused....didn't Princess Arabella have an 86 when I made my prior post?

In a fairly non-descript field to start, her main competition, Reneesgotzip, blew the first turn, and Eden's Moon was able to set a relatively unpressured pace through what were the slowest fractions of all two-turn races run at Santa Anita on March 3.

She's got an awesome pedigree (family of Paradise Creek), but Eden's Moon couldn't have had things any easier, and the final margin was more a function of Reneesgotzip giving it through the lane up than Eden's Moon drawing off powerfully. Dynamics are likely to be far different in the Kentucky Oaks; that's why I said she seemed an iffy proposition there.

yes. it's not in the top post, but if you look further down in the thread you'll see

SUN Sunland Park Oaks: Princess Arabella 86 (Any Given Saturday) B. Baffert/M. Garcia

Princess Arabella is a slightly inferior version of Joyful Victory 2011. She's just about as dressed up.

I feel like I really have not learned anything about her in her second and third starts.

I do believe she'll do better going long, however.

Wayyyy too early to simply say she's overrated.

I'll bet that she's overrated. I could easily be wrong. It happens the majority of the time.

Not if you are a bettor. It doesn't pay to wait.

Good point!

I didn't take Nick's post that way however.
