I hate the Yankees and sticking up for them makes me sick. But I cannot believe the press this has gotten. This happens all of the time.
But, for arguements sake let's say he really did get hit. The umpire missed it and thought it was a foul ball. The catcher saw that he really did get hit, yet said nothing. Would everyone be calling him a scumbag? Totally agree with Jms that this is more about hating the Yankees and Jeter than anything else. When a no name from the Royals does the exact same thing, no one notices or cares. |
The reason he known to be as the greatest living player of all time is that he's a Yankee.
But is a sissy cheater. Really smart. Wait until Mr. Umpire sees him again. |

[quote=Cannon Shell;696130]If I was a pitcher on Tampa i would drill him next time he came to the plate. tell him he doesn't have to fake this time. That would be the manly thing to do.[/QUOTEveryone could hear that sound.
LOL..You think acting like you got hit in the hand is a manly thing to do? See, this is why we had steroids/HGH in this sport. It's not a moral thing to have to tell the whole country you had your hand treated by a trainer because of "vibration." It's immoral. Everything about this organization is about winning the wrong way. That's what they represent, and Jeter is the best example. |

just got home, hubby had taped the play from earlier so he could ask me what i thought. my first reaction was jeter is a cheater..then i said that other sports should have a rule similar to hockeys 'dive' rule. we've all seen punters and kickers act as tho a defender wiped them out in an attempt to draw a flag-and sometimes it works. and now this...
he should get a suspension for his theatrics. |

The umps blew the call. Period. I can't stand the Yankees but honestly never cared what Jeter did.
The most pathetic thing was how loudly you could hear the ball hit the bat. Yet the ump still blew it. |
