The horse I am most inclined to play out of these WO races is Heros Reward, who likes the track and has always been a competitive force in these sprints. He may be an overlay because of Jungle Wave, who I think goes off around even money.

Im just keying Jungle and going 4-4 behind it.... Not putting a lot into this because I dont think Jungle can get beat, so I wont spread trying to beat him.

Was hoping for better odds, but Look Here in the EP Taylor for me.

Ouch 40-1 Euro invader Lahaleeb takes it.

My records show that today is statistically my worst day gambling of the whole year as I can never read Champions' Day at Newmarket right (except for a positive blip last year). Well this year takes some beating. I got an across the Globe spanking!! Woke up at 6am to lose a fair bit in the Caulfield Cup, lost more than a fair bit at Newmarket today despite knowing Fame and Glory was an awful favourite. Then it was time to get my money back in Canada. I was very disappointed im Buccellati as I thought he had all the time in the world to get by Jukebox but couldnt. I thought he was better than that. I know the Mark Johnston horses are tough to pass so had a saver on Jukebox but couldnt believe Champs Elysees got by them both. I thought they were both better than him. The worst part of the day, though was waking up this morning very keen on backing Lahaleeb but was put off by firm ground.. Not happy :(

If this was indeed Champs last race, it was a nice storybook ending for him, good for Frankel also because the drf article did confirm (worst kept secret here)he was back home battling cancer. This will be a good pick me up for him.
