Rudolf bets any longshot Smith rides ever since he had Giacomo.

This poly stuff screws with my mind... I thought I was a watching a turf sprint on the far turn.

All in all another solid performance from Einstein. Puts in a nice move while parked four wide on the far turn and probably didn't even see Richard's Kid coming.

For how much did Meyerhoff sell Richard's Kid to the Z man?

Mike Smith is a great jockey... Seriously why can't he ride like that 99.99% of the time? Great hit for anyone that had him.

mbahadur 09-06-2009 07:32 PM

Another game effort by Einstein (sporting the new Stronach silks).

He will probably be the second best US-based horse running in the BC Classic behind Zenyatta. I wonder how many horses the Euros will send over for the BC Classic.

I don't know what to make of Colonel John, coming back on turf, 1 prep and into the Classic his odds will have multiplied if he is going to the BC. I wouldn't give up on him yet but is all well with him would be my question. Obcourse he may have run to his ability if you subscribe he is no better than the 4th best horse running today. NOT!

Since his prep race off the layoff was on Turf and Ferneley coming back last week to win nicely in the Del Mar Handicap, Colonel Johns connections could be looking at a BC Turf race of some kind.

Based on his races this year, he is clearly BETTER ON THIS ****, then turf.

THAT was a HOF ride by Smith.

How about Gomez's ride on Col John:eek:

SCUDSBROTHER 09-07-2009 11:07 PM

Tough trip for a couple horses stuck down inside in the P.C. Most everyone will say they had every chance etc., but when it comes time to bet, they'll give them another chance(cheaper to talk than to bet.)

I agree about Gomez's ride on CJ. Absolute jokr for a veteran rider like him.
He probably thought he could bump his way out from the inside like he did in the Travers.

Once CJ had running room, it did not pass horses with ease. Gomez had to work to get his placing.

I don't think he ran his race, he is better than that and maybe this just maybe this stems back to him reappearing after a year off on turf, which I maintain was a strange placement, still 1 turf race into the Pacific Classic at 5/2 is a poor bet. His next race should be truer.

5/2 to me was fair odds for CJ. Its just that the backers of CJ were not sure which CJ would show up, the good bad or ugly. He certainly had the back class and a stylish prep race romp last out but he is very inconsistent.
I am not a huge fan of Eoin Harty as it seems he doesnt ready his runners off back to back goood efforts as his campagin with Well Armed should suggest.
I would give this horse to Bob Baffert.

hockey2315 09-09-2009 01:03 AM

Right. . . Well Armed's issues are all Harty's fault.

Kasept 09-09-2009 05:13 AM

Richard's Kid a 107 BSF...

Zenz a 101...

Rendesvouz 98...
