Does DEL not allow stable silks?

Scav 07-06-2009 12:18 PM

46.2......thata boy jeremy

MaTH716 07-06-2009 12:18 PM

3rd.

Riot 07-06-2009 12:18 PM

Opening half too fast for her to hang on to the lead past 7 furlongs :-(

You mean 46.2 with an uncontested lead, just brutal.

THAT...was not cool

Riot 07-06-2009 12:21 PM

Is she still ours? Seem to come out of it okay?

Heels1989 07-06-2009 12:23 PM

Track annoucer had her out by 10 lengths at the half mile pole. Geesh. At least it didnt look like he punished her in the stretch.

Kasept 07-06-2009 12:25 PM

:22.3 opening quarter pressured by the 99-1 shot was certainly a culprit...

Riot 07-06-2009 12:27 PM

Well, the replay shows her lengths ahead of the 99-1 shot entering the backstretch, and Rose looking back to see where everyone is.

Kasept 07-06-2009 12:34 PM

Uh huh. And the opening quarter is around the turn entering the backstretch.

Exactly. Any relay of what the jock was thinking yet?

pmacdaddy 07-06-2009 12:40 PM

Yup. No claim. Seemed to come out fine.

Little rest and back to sprinting sounds the plan.

Grabbing a bite and brew with Linda and few gatherers. Linda is very nice host.

Obviously Rose couldn't hold her, I was hoping she would let the 8 go by instead of duel, but unfortunately she beat herself today with the early fractions. I would think cutting back would be to her benefit. Still did well to hold on for 3rd considering the fractions.

Exactly, Steve. That truly was a damned if you do/don't situation for Rose there. He was only going to get a 24 opener with no pressure. He didn't get it easy so his choice then was to let her go a bit or fight her and take everything else out of her.

She ran well and still finished a decent third. If Rose puts his feet on the dashboard and fights her, she beats only the 99-1 shot, IMO.

Following Linda's instructions to let her run.

Riot 07-06-2009 01:49 PM

He certainly did that.

herkhorse 07-06-2009 05:17 PM

no one complained 2 weeks ago when she ran almost the same fractions and won by seven.

...and yea what's with those silks?
