:D , I really dont get the "but-ers" on FF, I really dont. Yeah the 7weeks is different, but that was the gameplan all along by the people that know the horse the best, and I trust Larry Jones to do the right thing to get his horse ready. And please let it pour Sat., cause the crap he ran on La. Derby day was a big ole gumbo track out there. Wait.....ummm I mean, yeah he sucks, cant run in the mud, he breeding sucks going long,and hates dirt!!!! Dont bet him, cause it will help my price on him. ;)

First, if they wanted $1 million, they should have "jogged" in the Arkansas Derby. No chance they spend the ridiculous supplemental fee now just to run in the preakness since she is not triple crown nominated.

Excellent drill for Hold Me Back this morning under Kent D. Coming up to race very nicely and Mott told me yesterday he expects a big run. His lone concern is the track coming up loose-deep-cuppy as he says the Giant's Causeway colt likes firm footing and struggles grabbing 'breakaway' soil.

Square Eddie was the featured worker after the break, and while the :50.1 half won't look like much on paper, was quite OK and came between the quarter and seven-eighths poles. As I said the other day, he's a well made and compact colt that has a great look that ends with his palomino tail. I watched with O'Neill's assistant who was thrilled with how he went.

Win Willy jogged twice around and worked up a sweat on the warm morning.... Friesan Fire galloped as well but I was watching Square Eddie.

Spent time with Rachel Alexandra and Hal Wiggins. She's spectacular. Huge. And as docile as a kitten. She works at 8:30 Monday under Borel.

Waiting for news from New York regarding Quality Road's a.m. and California where Mr. Hot Stuff was to work.

I was around Friesan Fire all morning on the 26th. I watched his work and watched him walk the shed row and talked to Larry Jones as F.F took a bath. The funniest moment is when McCarron brought some of his students over to meet Larry Jones. Larry and Chris got into a conversation about the 87 Derby. I guess McCarron was to ride for Jones in the race following the Derby. Of course McCarron won so he couldnt ride. Jones was giving McCarron a hard time over that. Anyway, F.F looked good. His work was o.k. He cooled off well. The layoff and added distance are minor concerns for me. If the track comes up muddy or sloppy then I will bet this horse. But right now, I think he can get a piece.

Kodiak Cowboy looked real good and he is going in the 7 Furlong event..I believe it is the Churchill or Louisville Handicap.

Kodiak Cowboy better run a lot better than he did in winning the Carter.
