maybe the other 2, but cowboy cal ?
sit 3-6, get first run on the leaders, jv opens him up, closers cant get to him

He's a turf horse - bred primarily for turf and all of his good races have been on some form of turf. I know, I know. . . his race on dirt was his debut so it may not be indicative of his true ability on dirt. But, I'm not willing to bank on a Giant's Causeway taking to dirt when he's unproven on it. He's also not very fast (figs may not be as accurate because they were on turf/poly). Even if he did run as well on dirt as he does on grass/rubber there are a bunch of horses that have proven to be much better than him. His odds will be vastly overlaid because he's a Pletcher/Johnny V. and because he got 2nd in a G1 on a surface that is nothing like the one at CD.

Don't you think Cowboy Cal could do some damage in the turf, where he belongs? Cowtown Cat hasn't won a race since I don't think, couldn't even win at Morty Downs

The fact that speed did well does not a bias make.

On turf, sure Cowboy Cal could make some noise.

PG's favorite stallion and his favorite active race horse!

lol yes
you know it.

You are right, it wasn't a bias per say, but speed was alot better then normal yesterday.

They still have a real bad rail problem there, first three paths are absolutely quicksand...

hockey2315 04-13-2008 02:48 PM

It's not what they did, it's what their progeny do.

You doing what you do makes no sense to everyone, yet we don't try to figure it out.

Wasn't GC a Euro? Think that's what he means. Everyone in America was rooting for Tiznow.

It was sarcasm. I was trying to show PG that his sarcasm doesn't really shine through on a message board. People tend to take what you write for what it is.

It was heartbreaking for me too. I was on Lemon Drop Kid. That was the lone downer on my best personal day at a racetrack..

Sarcastic, eh? Your humor is too sophisticated..
