Of course Isiah is incompetent. That goes without saying. But Dolan is the problem because he encourages his incompetence and is incapable of getting anybody competent to work for him.

Isiah didn't start this juggernaut. That happened when instead of letting Patrick's contract run out they traded him for more contracts ( Glenn Rice???? ) and then signed those guys to long term and expensive deals. Obviously Isiah has exascerbated this beyond belief but he isn't even close to being the root of this disaster. But, Dolan is the common denominator.

Did you see the worst player in the league to have on your team, Zach Randolph, when he got his fourth foul early in the third quarter? I thought he was going to ask the ref to give him five and six as well.

I would still rank Starbury as the worst with Zach running a close second just nipping out convicted sex offender Ruben Patterson. I mean there is a chance that Randolph gets a positive and gets suspended and you save some money. Starbury is just high on himself.

Jerome James hands down, then he trades for Eddy Curry 2 weeks later.

They are quite a one-two punch.

Here's a question for you Chuck.....seriously. Suppose they disbanded every team now and had a draft for every NBA player.....including their contracts. How many players would be picked from the league before a Knick was chosen and, seriously, who would be the first Knick taken?

Jerome James was a mid-level exemption. Please. Acting like he's even worth mentioning in this calamity is like bringing up a toilet overflowing on the Titanic.

I would say 60 or 70 and David Lee because he plays hard (used to) and has a really cheap contract.

MaTH716 11-29-2007 11:07 PM

David Lee would be the first Knick taken. but I am guessing it would not be early.

Cannon Shell 11-29-2007 11:07 PM

On second thought it may be 100 or more...

Cannon Shell 11-29-2007 11:08 PM

Without the cheap contract 150

I knew you would take David Lee....you bigot.

Balkman's a cinch. Come on....he can actually play. Though I agree Lee would be no worse than second.

I think it's over 100. I can't imagine there aren't three players on every team you take ahead of every Knick and that gets you to 90.

Balkman and Lee are pretty close though Lee may have more upside. The ironic thing is that both are role players who are much better as complimentary guys rather than legit starters. The supposed stars of the Knicks are a who's who of cancerous guys.

I swear a friend of mine said, literally hours before the Knicks traded for him, that Portland was really putting together a terrific team and all they had to do was get rid of Randolph and what a perfect fit he would be for this Knick catastrophe. He's got it all for Isiah....a huge contract and he's a selfish stat oriented loser.

I wish the Bulls had Zach Randolph though. he is the type of guy that is a follower and I think he would follow the bulls intensity and help us put points on the board, down low. If they had ANY presence on the blocks this team would be lethal(the bulls this is)

blackthroatedwind 11-29-2007 11:19 PM

I completely disagree. He is a complete loser and will drag down any and every team he plays for. He and Marbury and the worst players in the league.

And then Francis comes in and helps Houston beat the Suns last night. He could be a key guy coming off the bench for Houston if he accepts the role. The whole league got something positive out of that trade except NY. When I heard that trade I figured that they were going to move him or Curry. Still cant believe they made the trade.

They make Ricky Davis seem like a team guy

A player with the offensive skills of Zach Randolph could help the Bulls but not the actual Zach Randolph

Scav 11-29-2007 11:24 PM

I don't follow the Knicks visually but I did watch Portland and he was decent, maybe his attitude changed with the players he is playing with.

blackthroatedwind 11-29-2007 11:24 PM

Randolph was born to be a Knick.

The Knicks signing him is like how you always know the nitwit at the track that claims the sucker " claim me " horse. Some people are just drawn to traps.

It's amazing how great a player Isiah was....and how little he knows about basketball. Joe Dumars has proven to be Alydar in the shed to Isiah's Affirmed.

His attitude with Portland was horrendous. He was arrested at least once....and possibly more. He violated team rules. He's always been a disaster. Google him. No sane GM would have touched him...especially with his ridiculous contract.
