More Classic Bob and Tom on Jeff George

Georgia,
Jeff's in Georgia
We don't have to hear you whine
You're a Falcon now
We've got women
On our minds

Georgia,
Jeff's in Georgia
You think the state is named for you
They've got a Southern draw
But you understand Jeff,
When they boo

Playing ball,
Always was your dream
You said the fans
They treated you mean
You said you're the best
That we ever seen
But you threw, to
The wrong team

Yea Georgia
Oh Jeff's in Georgia
He'll be calling his own plays
So I bet you next season
Their punter
Will want a raise.

Jeff George was one of the worst quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL. Did he EVER have a winning record as the starter? Complete disaster for every team that signed him...

Class move by Williamson after classless earlier move by Vikings. Should relatives die during team's bye week only?

Family is more important than football -- because after football, you still have family. Football uses player's best years and then discards them. Only boxing leaves as much carnage as football in its former competitors.

I will give them credit for admitting their mistake and doing the right thing. I take back the negative karma I sent to them.

what about the interest on that bad karma?

did it just sit there for a week with no effect? if that's the case then what was the point?

if not, you need to do more that just take back the bad karma you sent. you need to accept some of the extra bad karma created when you dumped this on them before everything played out.

this is part of the seven fold law. or some other squishy concept no one really wants to nail down.

just understand that any bad karma you send my way will be returned postage due.

Taking back the bad karma was a business decision only, and it was interest-free, especially since it was only a day, and not a week as you suggested :)

Karma really is a b!tch. Lose 34-0 and Peterson leaves with a knee injury.

No,the G.M. is not punished...Only the fans get punished. So,no,I am not for paying athletes that don't play games. This bullshit is the reason the cost to go to games is out of hand.If they get injured, and it's of course nobody's fault, then why doesn't the athlete have to give up half his money, and the fans pay him half money(for doing nothing.)The Viking player should be allowed to take off whatever time he needs to take off,but don't expect to get paid when ya don't show up.This is a 100% performance based business.Time to start running it that way. This is not a fireman's job.Somebody just as good is not gunna always be around to do the job.We didn't quite have another Jason to pitch.

you're kidding right?

even the small business i'm about to wave goodbye to pays bereavement leave for grandparents.

as for the fans paying, they pay anyway. in this case, the vikes would keep the fellows pay themselves. such absolute bullsh!t on the vikes part.
