A few is one thing, but the way the Red Sox n' Cub fans do it is disgusting. They have no respect for another team's house. Shouldn't have to put up with that. People need to respect other people's home games. I honestly think your team has been deprived of a real home field advantage quite a bit in this post season. Philly fans act like they own a whole part of your house. It's pathetic. Same when the Red Sox were there. You need to cherish your home field advantage more. Don't just give up a whole g d bank of tickets like that. That's crazy. You need to protect your team more than that. That's a problem. It's an inexperienced franchise. You can't be that nice. You will regret that.

Philles Fans DO own a whole part of the Trop. There is probably as many true Phillies fans who live in Tampa now as Rays fans. A kid I know went to game two and said it must have been 40% Red in there.

Rays fans can do something about that, but most people in FL didnt even realize Tampa had a team until a few weeks ago.

Well I ff'd to the end....at least there was a good part.

Ain't College football. Need to upgrade the baseball i.q. in the Tampa area. Do you think you would ever see the opposing fans act that way at Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium, or Citizens Water Slide?

there would be a civil war again if Tampa fans came into Citizens Water Slide and tried what we do at Tropicana.

And let me tell ya.

The north would win again... but this time it would be much easier.

Wow.

I really don't think you have a clue about baseball in Tampa, quite frankly.

1. There were measurably more Red Sox fans as Phillies fans here for the first two games of their respective playoff games, neither of which came remotely close to the numbers you proport. 40% ?? Sounds like a typical, overexaggerated loser's wet dream. Try not even 10%, if that.

2. If the bandwagon jumping hypocrites actually do show up for 6 & 7, it is because it provides them the needed excuse to run up their credit cards getting the hell out of that filthy, disgusting cesspool of a city they call home.

Pro Tip, Philladelphia: Go to Chicago and learn what a major US city should look and act like. Your vile, depressed rat hole that masquades as a city is an embarassment, much like the fat, gloating, loser fans that haven't won sh1t in 25 years acting like they've already won.

Of course, all you need to do is listen to the WIP internet stream to hear them already crying about how unfair it was that the umps let the Rays back in the game... What a joke.

Look at the bright side, you all have a built in excuse for losing. :D

Hats off to Lidge. Proved me wrong and exorcised his demons.

Congrats Phils fans!

MaTH716 10-29-2008 09:02 PM

Congrats to the Philly fans! (boy thats painful for me to say as a New Yorker!)

Rays fans you guys should be proud, they played great all year.

But I do think that Joe Maddon did a poor job with the pen tonight.

Zaf 10-29-2008 09:09 PM

Congrats Phils, Painful to say as a Met Fan, but it was nice to see these 2 teams in the Series.

31lengths 10-29-2008 09:19 PM

Congrats. I guess they'll be rioting in Philly tonight.....
Boy did we just got out managed or what?

My boss just asked me if I was coming back next season....I answered 159 days til opening day. I think I have one more year in me.....:$:

Mortimer 10-29-2008 09:22 PM

Gosh.....SkidsMom was WRONG ...again.

But he's a fine sport and I always say---win graciously.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-29-2008 09:45 PM

Can they get a street cleaned off enough to have a parade?

GPK 10-29-2008 09:51 PM

Congrats to the Phils and most of all Charlie Manuel

Mortimer 10-29-2008 10:09 PM

I have a kleenex handy if you need it...

Your team was outplayed in every facet of the game...Deal with it.

I'd rather have a 'vile, depressed rat hole that masquades as a city', then have a dossile, fugaze fan of a city that you inhabit. For all the flak that we catch, you guys are a joke, seriously. I learned that about FLA fans when I visited the home of the Dolphins some 6 years ago. Pussies if you ask me.

IT FEELS GREAT TO BE AT THE TOP AND LOOKING DOWN FOR ONCE.

I'll look out for your Pro Tips.

PS... What game 6 or 7?

SCUDSBROTHER 10-30-2008 12:30 AM

Long enough. He makes Broxton and the Kuo thing seem like Dennis Yeckersly.

Poor taste on my part, but oh well.

Chalk it up to Gillick making the right move, at which I was first a skeptic of.

Why the big turn around in Philly for Lidge? Puerto Rican Mistress? Cheese Steak? Uplifting Philly Park?
