EVD 10 from Saturday night, Her Dream broke down right in front of me about 50 yards from the line. John Jacinto could have been killed, but instead he walked away. I don't think Her Dream was that lucky.

my miss storm cat 08-30-2010 06:46 PM

Yeah she wasn't lucky.

I'll add her to the angels thread. Poor girl.

Sad to hear. Thanks for updating.

Oh man I was looking for my R4 @ Toga thread to see if anyone posted who won cause I was upset i missed it.I'm kinda glad I did now. :(

Poor guy.

I'm really sorry for his connections.

Malibu Moonshine

Anyone hear any word on him. He was vanned off and there are conflicting stories about him.

Rudeboyelvis 09-03-2010 07:17 PM

It was pretty ugly.. happened about 500 yds up the stretch from where we were sitting...i will spare the grusome details but im sure the horse expired well before the van got there.

slotdirt 09-03-2010 08:23 PM

Didn't realize Malibu Moonshine was 8 at this point. Seems not that long ago he was winning the Tesio.

my miss storm cat 09-06-2010 09:39 PM

Still have not seen a thing about Malibu Moonshine.

Has anyone?

Still looking around for at least a diagnosis of what was wrong with him whatever the result, but I did find this: http://www.saratogian.com/articles/2...c234380838.txt

"The top three in the race were followed by Flying Private, Masala, and Malibu Moonshine, who was eased; the 8-year-old gelding jogged back to the unsaddling area under his own power but was vanned off."

I'm hoping that's a sign he's ok. Do horses get jogged over to the unsaddling area, vanned off, and end up fine? The article calls him a gelding, but I thought he was still intact.

my miss storm cat 09-06-2010 10:45 PM

Thanks for finding that and yeah here's hoping...

People seem to update these quite a bit when it's very bad news (for some of them any way)...

I'll remain hopeful and hope that no (more) news really is good news.

According to TVG, they contacted Tom Amoss and he said Liberty Bull wasnt seriously injured, rather James Graham pulled him up because something "didnt feel right".

my miss storm cat 10-10-2010 05:32 PM

Oh I'm glad and thank you for posting it. :)
