Yesssssss!!! It feels good just to complete ONE! Took 17 tries...much more than I thought it would've.

If my math is right...

3:31 HOL R3 - 4 Sir Lowry - 3rd paid $2.20 - Running Total = $751

4:34 HOL R5 - 4 Silver Stetson Man - 3rd paid $2.10 - Running Total = $789

6:07 HOL R8 - 3 Hucking Hot - WON paid $3.00 - Running Total = $1,184

That makes a dent in the loss so far... instead of $1600, the loss is now only $416. One more good round and I could be up before you know it. :)

On to Round 18...

Good persistance, jman! However, your $1184 final bankroll means you won $1084, which in turn means you are $516 in the hole, not $416.

Hey, anyway, weren't you ready to pocket the $400 profit from Round 16 after 6 bets? You'd have missed out on the "extra" $684! (You knew I was going to bring that up again, didn't you.)

Good luck on #18.

You got up to +$90 on flat $100 bets with the win on Spanky Fischbein. Now you are at -$10. With the parlays, you are at -$616 with 2 more chances to go.

How did we miss Golden Hare in a 6-horse field yesterday! (winning his 12th race of the year at 1-5)

Missed that one... doh! Oh well, Air Commander would've screwed me anyway.

Nice signature line by the way... excellent!

2 short rounds leaves me with only one left. Would have to be a good one to get back on top...

letswastemoney 11-14-2007 11:57 PM

Hey do you like Angel Craft tomorrow at Hollywood? I'm using her for the Show contest online, but I really don't have a Form with me and I don't plan on buying one since I'm not betting anything tomorrow.

All I have is a vague memory that she's never worse than 2nd in turf races....

letswastemoney 11-14-2007 11:59 PM

oops the race is on cushion. Hmmmm...........I should just cough up the 2.50 online for the drf.....lol. $5000 prize is at stake here!

$.50 at TSN or $1 at Brisnet for the plain jane PP's...

May as well get Rd 20 started at LWM's prompting.... I'll go with the Becerra horse in the HOL 1st, Dunmore.

I think one could get away with Angel Craft in the HOL 7th. But, I'm taking D Pirates Marker under GoGo for a nice patient ride to come flying home late.

jman5581 11-15-2007 11:27 PM

Dunmore - paid $2.40 - Running Total = $120

D Pirates Marker - paid $2.40 - Running Total = $144

As of the first two picks of Round 20, jman is losing at a rate of 0.5% (assuming he bet equal amounts on each of his 113 picks). That compares very favorably with a dart throwing show (or win or place) bettor, who would be losing at a rate of 16%+. Jman would be down a mere $55 if he'd bet $100 on every pick he has made. With any sort of rebate or promotion, he would be solidly ahead.

I'll take the coupled entry #1 in CRC R5, Casablanca Babe/Our Little Buck

WON and paid $2.10 - Running Total = $151

jman, what's the assumption going to be if just one of the entry runs? I think the best is to assume that the pick is cancelled unless you say otherwise ahead of time.

Yes, if they both don't go... cancelled. They both went here, or at least I think they did.
