However, the question as to WHY he was so tired is the heart of the matter...you pump them up, they run...then they fall down..which is the point I am trying to get at...

Consider Gun Runner...has he ever run a bad race ?
he is consistently good

then look at what bob offers - peaks and valleys..
it is the trainers methods I wonder about.

Collected was supposed to be the HOY 2017s' main competition at Gulfstream in 2018.
this race he faltered so badly at was to be a spring board to overthrowing the division leader, the fastest horse in the world right now on dirt. Instead he appears gate side lethargic.

GUN RUNNER (CANDY RIDE) shows up each and every time and Steve should be the trainer of the year 2017.

I only wish GR would go to Dubai and win 25 million in total and get the respect the 4 hit wonder managed to steal from him.
without Arrogate, GR would be 2 time HOY.
Hoy? Last year? I guess you forgot about the races early on in which nyquist and exaggerator were clearly better.

Chuck, not to be argumentative...but clearly better than who..GUN RUNNER ?

If not for the quarentine at FG GR would lead the world NOW in on track winnings.

Nyquist...a colt that folds after the derby is not one you really want to breed to unless you want fast 2 year olds as a group of thoroughbreds. Consider Smarty Jones...where are his foals ?
Exaggerator ?? huh ?? you actually think Ex was a better horse in terms of speed than GR ...please your just feeding the pigeons with that one.

In the first part of the year, those two were clearly ahead of gun runner. As for the quarantine, Arrogate smoked gun runner before and after it. I guess it's easy to believe in something if you ignore facts that disprove your belief.

GR won like what 5 G1's all year beginning in the spring.

I mean they ran outta Grade 1's for the horse to dominate.
