Default Is it just me or is Godolphin winning everything

it seems like the past month they have won alot of major races here in the US, and even a few big ones in Europe. Looks like they are finally doing something right, and managing their talent much better.

See Joel Cunningham's article on the Darley stable that he put up on this site. I completely agree with you.

They are on a roll like I have never seen. They have the money, talent and desire to be the best and it is starting to show.

the thing is they didn't win the derby
the Preakness & Belmont are nice
but they want derby
and they haven't got derby
thus they are failures in their own eyes

There is a reason that they don't have The Green Monkey and I'll just leave it at that....honestly, they should own that one as well

I think its just finally a combination of patience and management that has finally gotten them them, although not really as the collective Godolphin banner. Nonetheless the brothers are getting their acts together. You also have to give due to trainers Albertrani, Peitz,Harty,Mclaughlin,Henning,Drysdale, Mott and even Duggan when he oversaw the midwest string.

Having the horses actually train here and get acclimated has really been the turning point, now we see more often in the past 2 years or so alot of their horses prepping here or at Woodbine (Gr1 races) before BC races

I believe, as others do, that this is just the tip of the iceberg. They have bought much of the best bloodstock in the world and are in a position to breed the best animals that money can buy.

As long as oil stays around $70 a barrel, these guys will have money to burn on any horse they want. I think the Saudi prince at Juddmonte is going to also make it very difficult for Americans to dominate US racing any longer. The families with a net worth of 20-$50 million are going to have a tough time keeping up with the billionaires.

The Green Monkey is not owned by Godolphin
he is owned by Coolmore
Todd Pletcher doesn't train for Godolphin
Jazil & Bernadini trained in the states
unlike Discreet Cat
the only thing they did right
in trying to win the classic races
but still
it's not like they came close to winning the derby

Well they won two legs of the tri crown, the Woody Stephens and the race yesterday by Dubai Escapade was nice as well.
But they won't have any champions in the Us this year.

If they beat Lael's Showing Up in two weeks at Colonial Downs with Carnera or Foreign Minister then I will be impressed.

Their 3yr old grass horse named Foreign Minister could be a good one too. I think he recently ran second to a 4yr old in a 133.4 mile. I expect to see FM at the $1 million race at Colonial.

Champion of what? They don't have a "filly or mare sprinter" division. I highly doubt that she can best colts and horses, and I doubt she will stretch out, Onnagan Mccool is gonna be tough to beat there.
So what champion are we looking at them owning?

I think she can stretch out. Onnagan McCool is becoming one of my favorite horses. I dont think she can get the boys either. I have a feeling they may run her in the filly and mare turf or perhaps the distaff. I think she has a shot in the distaff more so than the turf. If she wins the distaff, then she might be champ.

Invasor as older horse champ
Bernardini as 3 yr old and probably horse of the year

Ouch,
Jinxy cat just destroyed the Royal family's hopes and dreams. Up on hearing the news that the guy who jinxed jazil into the winners circle on saturday had just declared that Bernandini would be HOY, the royal family immediately sent word to their agents to immediately begin searching for a good 3Yo for sale. LOL!!! Well, thats the end of Bernandini. The Seattle curse has been laid upon him.
