Hey Steve and Chuck,

I'd be interested in taking on another share or two in an additional partnership.

My only concern would be targeting a horse for a meet that only runs for 5 weeks - once it's over, what do you do then becasue a NY-bred doesn't do you much good in KY.

yeah I did, didn't read it through because I got excited about Graham, I mentioend Mena to Chuck a while back

Meanwhile, I was just looking at Arlington's condition book and I think their is a perfect race for her on KENTUCKY DERBY DAY. Allowance/optional claiming 3 year old fillies 1 mile on the lawn......not sure if I read it right though

We would likely leave the horse in NY with a friendly trainer or just retire it because maybe they have just done enough.

I'll make the trip 4/11 should she draw and am probably in for the NY bred as well.

Oh and Scavs, Major R will make his return Derby Day.

I can think of at least 1 NY-bred that did excellent in Ky.

Yea Arlington. I'd rather be with Messineo and his hundreds of friends in the park, heck he's got about 30 kids alone lol. Just hope it's a nice day. We tried to get into a hotel in Louisville for Fri-Sat but were obviously too late.

Maybe I'm way off base here but, wouldn't the main reason you take a NY-bred be to be able to take adavantage of those juicy NY-bred restricted race purses?

Most NY-breds aren't worth much outside of NY. Even a mediocre NY-bred can roll up a nice bankroll but it needs to race in those NY-bred races.

Couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic in your reply, Chuck..... I assume you were?

actually I was thinking of Funny Cide. Yes, the whole point is to run in NY bred races and get teh enhanced purses.

I agree 100% with you. I believe that we would try to find a good situation with a NY trainer after Saratoga.

Does the NYBred Partnership mean that Sumwon will definitely not race in NY?

Unrelated.. If we have Sumwon at that time, she'll come to Saratoga with Chuck's string and race if there's a spot...
