the sport is in the midst of a huge scandal. several top trainers have been caught "milkboning".

Is this something you'd actually want to see?

Am I being horrible, grumpy and humorless?

AND there was the huge scandal last year when the winner mowed down and took out other weiners in the race, forcing many to veer out and some even went backwards, and the stewards refused to even look at........

Actually being a dog person and owning an old wiener mix, it is pretty hysterical to watch. In the dog well wiener community these races are very competitive. Good fun.

I think half the field stopped to smell at the horse crap on the track.

only 50 yards you would think speed would hold, but on the contrary closers are doing very well.

AM Update of the wieny races.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StsIHPSVlz4

Very contentious this year, with many photos finishes, one dive over the finish line, one stuck in the gate and closed on him and even a DQ of Kiwi who apparently was not a certified wieny, which allowed Sally the defending champion to go to the finals and was beat by I believe Snopsi, can't remember..arjim do you remember who won?
Many were almost to the finish line and yet decided to do a 360 and run back to the gates. Others decided right from the gate they were going to go check out the grass, or go find their handlers. And others decided to tackle their competition in an effort to win and were passed. The dash is 50 yards, yet many wienies took the long route and went 75 to 100 yards to attempt a finish. Owners and handlers were laden down with bait to get their wieny home first from squeaky toys to snausages, or simply just jumped up and down screaming.
Ed the track announcer tried his best to call the wienies, but mainly he had to keep telling the owners to get to the finish line to call their wienies home.
It was sight to behold!!!!

I'm gonna have to contact PETA on this.

Also, the Jewish Defence League...no Hebrew National representation!
