For a about 6 months I helped take care of John Henry, Forego, Bold Forbes....a few others. It was very cool, Forego was a gentle giant and John Henry was full of personality and by far the smartest horse I had been around.

Now we are lucky to see a high caliber horse race even 3 times a year. If he wins 2 of them then he is automatically a candidate for HOY.

Correct:

Cigar, he explains, is an aviation checkpoint in the Gulf of Mexico. "It seemed like a great name for a horse," adds Paulson, who holds 24 around-the-world flight speed records and was named pilot of the year in 1987 by Professional Pilot magazine. "Sometimes it's hard to come up with the right handle."
Also, Paulson's Azeri was named for an aviation checkpoint in Baku, Azerbaijan
