The best trainer angle is the claim back. The next is 3rd off of a layoff and 3rd is 1st off claim

"Nuts off" hmm...I see your point, but I'm not sure if it is a trainer's angle for handicapping if it can be applied to all trainers, I mean are there some better than others first off the geld?

I always wait to see if any of the trainers look sneaky or up to somthing and if that don't pan out I wait until they are loading in the gate and the one that takes a fatty dump is the one I run to bet on!

you mean the ol' "first time with trainer having a syringe in the paddock" angle?

yeah, the "dump" angle's for kids...my friends tried that with the greyhounds
I mean if Mama Cass were racing Marion Jones and Mama took a big plop
on the pavement pre-race, would you rush to the windows to bet on her?

At Saratoga:

Dale Romans dropping a horse into claiming company.
Perennially done for owners Ken and Sarah Ramsey but not exclusively for them.
