Default KEE/CD Teaming on 2 New Racetracks; KHRC Saying No?

https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-rac...new-racetracks

Quote:
Churchill Downs Incorporated and Keeneland Association announced Sept. 15 a historic partnership to propose the construction of two new state-of-the-art racing facilities.

One track will be in southeastern Kentucky in the Knox County city of Corbin, and the second will be in southwestern Kentucky in Oak Grove, which is in Christian County. The proposed facilities will feature live horse racing and historical racing machines for guests from Kentucky and beyond.

not sure but apparently they dont have enough casinos.

It makes me feel good this will lead to bigger purses and I surely sleep better at night knowing I am paying more for their product so they can have even bigger purses.

From Frank Angst: KHRC says hold your horses..

https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-rac...new-racetracks

Late Friday afternoon, the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission suggested that it may, at the least, be some time before its prepared to allow any new tracks in the state.

"Over the last several months, we have informed Kentucky's race tracks that we would not consider any applications for new race track facilities in Kentucky," in an issued statement attributed to KHRC chairman Frank Kling Jr. and vice chairman John Roach. "Despite that communication, Churchill and Keeneland have chosen to submit an application for new race track facilities. At this time, neither of us have any plans to take any action related to this application or any other application for a new race track facility.
