BELMONT – 7/3/2020

Race 1- 1 st #2 GAROPPOLO 2 ND #1 INDOCTRINATE 3 RD #3 WINFROMWITHIN

#2 GAROPPOLO was buried inside on debut when he showed little to check in fourth on opening day. Having
that race behind him should help, and he has come back to train forwardly for Kelly Breen. He is the tepid
selection in a race where you simply cannot have confidence. #1 INDOCTRINATE bested the top pick last
time out on debut and now has the advantage of having a race behind him as well. There is win early pedigree
here and the experience a 2YO gets on debut is invaluable. #3 WINFROMWITHIN was scratched behind the
gate here 12 days ago when he was a distant second choice to eventual handy winner Roderick. He is the
morning line fave here and is no great bargain, given he might be the only progeny of Into Mischief to not even
go for his sire’s stud fee at auction.

Race 2- 1 st #11 BEACH DREAMING 2 ND #1 TAKE CHARGE TINA 3 RD #10 BLUE ATLAS

Wihle this barn is far better on dirt, #11 BEACH DREAMING gets a look in a race where the two favorites bring
forth tons of red flags. This mare has faced weaker in Florida of late, but has done so in two low percentage
barns. She should be in line to get a fair pace to run at for a barn that does well off trainer changes and her
price will be appealing. #1 TAKE CHARGE TINA is the one to beat, but the drop in class for a low percentage
barn is troublesome. This gal is versatile enough to stay close early and that gives her an edge on her rivals to
the outside, but you’re going to have to take a very short price here. #10 BLUE ATLAS is one of the two main
win candidates on the drop back in for a tag. Trainer Horacio DePaz has a couple of wins at the meet with
Barry Schwartz-owned runners and this mare competed well against tougher in the mid-Atlantic last summer.
She has to find a way onto your Pick 5 tickets.

Race 3- 1 st #3 APPLETINI 2 ND #2 KINKY SOX 3 RD #8 BIG BENNYS TRIBUTE

#3 APPLETINI was in close attendance of a strong pace last time out and weakened late. She is the one to
catch here while in light with the bug boy aboard, and she should be wound a little tighter second off the layoff.
Whether she has the stamina to make it the distance is the big question, but her price makes it worth a try. #2
KINKY SOX rallied into a strong pace last time to win going away and now goes 2 nd off the layoff herself. She
has improved since moving to dirt off the barn change and it’s clear sprinting is her game. In a race with
absolutely no standouts she merits consideration to win right back. #8 BIG BENNYS TRIBUTE will be overbet
because of her rider, but she is dropping in class and drew well to stalk and pounce. Her best races wallop
these gals.

Race 4- 1 st #7 KEOTA 2 ND #1 DANCINGWITHDAFFODLS 3 RD #4 JEN’S BATTLE

Barring something unforeseen, #7 KEOTA is supposed to win. She is taking an enormous drop in class for
new trainer Chad Brown after two tries in Florida against stakes foes. While her improvement in Florida for her
cheating POS prior trainer is cause for pause, she was also ridden passively in those tilts by Irad Ortiz, Jr., who
is back aboard again. #1 DANCINGWITHDAFFODLS looked to be on her way to victory last time out before
getting tagged on the wire. She is a late running type who’ll need to work out a trip in a race devoid of early
speed. Her best is good enough to contend for a minor share if the top pick shows. #4 JEN’S BATTLE beat a
woeful field last time out but showed improvement in doing so as she sat just off a solid pace before wresting
command in upper stretch. She retains Joel Rosario and has upside for a barn that is quietly having a good
meet.

Race 5- 1 ST #3 TOPPER T 2 ND #5 EYE LUV LULU 3 RD #7 SEANOW

#3 TOPPER T reluctantly gets the nod as the possible lone closer in a race packed with speed. Blinkers are
going on and Joel Rosario is at his best taking horses back to make one run. There is no doubt he’ll gets ome
pace to run at in here. If the class prevails then #5 EYE LUV LULU will be getting photographed. He is the
one to beat on paper, but the drop in for a tag for a horse closing in on a million in earnings is troublesome.
He’s also always been better on wet tracks. If you want to go the “speed of the speed” route than #7
SEANOW is the one to beat. He is the quickest of his rivals in here and should be on the lead. His
improvement of late is notable and he is also the “outside speed” so expect him to get a nice trip in here.

Race 6- 1 st #5 SAY MOI 2 ND #7 SPICE IS NICE 3 RD #4 VIGILANTES WAY

#5 SAY MOI followed up an impressive runner-up finish on debut with a handy maiden-breaking score at
second asking. She now stretches out in distance for a barn that is 22% with dirt routers off maiden wins
($2.14 ROI). This gal has a tactical edge on her main rival, #7 SPICE IS NICE. That Todd Pletcher trainee
was entered in a similar N1X on June 11 and now re-surfaces here 23 days later. She has yet to validate her
gaudy purchase price, failing twice at short prices in stakes following an impressive maiden win. This is the
“acid test” in that she is expected to win as a heavy fave. #4 VIGILANTES WAY was hurt by a poor trip last
time out. She was steadied early after breaking poorly and never got involved over a surface that had more
moisture in it than it’s rating would suggest. She is a live price horse and can split the top two.

Race 7- 1 st #11 FRACTORZATION 2 ND #12 SNICKET 3 RD #7 MAGNOLIA’S LADY

There is a decent chance #11 FRACTORZATION can get loose in this race barring a fleet-footed first timer.
This daughter of The Factor has ample early speed and ran into a buzz saw last time out when
Strongerthanuknow wrested command and never looked back. This race is ripe for a wire job. #12 SNICKET
clearly improved on the move to turf, but hardly wowed anyone in a second place finish to a monster longshot.
She is the horse to beat based on the quality of that effort but this barn’s recent cooldown gives you pause. #7
MAGNOLIA’S LADY showed life on debut for a barn that generally excels with 2 nd time starters. She surely
needed that race and should be fit for an improved run today. Though she came from well off of it last time, it
would be no surprise for her to show more speed with some experience.

Race 8- 1 st #6 DANCERS FOR TOKEN 2 ND #2 YANKEE DIVISION 3 RD #1-1A NODA ENTRY

#6 DANCERS FOR TOKEN exits a maiden win where he crushed his rivals via a perfect trip. The third place
finisher came back to run a game 2 nd yesterday and improve his Beyer figure by 17 points. This gelding has
improved most recently with better quality jockeys and retains the pilot from the maiden-breaking score. #2
YANKEE DIVISION was suspiciously bad last time out given that he had no speed and called it an afternoon
very early. The blinkers and an aggressive pilot are going on today so he should be committed to the lead
from the start and that makes him dangerous. #1A VINTAGE HOLLYWOOD rallied to snag the place dough
in a tough claimer last time out. He stretches back out to a mile and can be effective at this trip. Having
stablemate #1 DANNY CALIFORNIA helps Orlando Noda’s chances of winning the race but hurts the price.

Race 9- 1 st #8 DALIKA 2 ND #4 I’LLHANDALTHECASH 3 RD #3 GETMOTHERAROSE

#8 DALIKA was a handy winner cutting back last time out at Churchill and now gets an additional sixteenth of
a mile with which to work. Her off the pace style fits her rider like a glove and she should get a fair setup again
as the likely favorite. #4 I’LLHANDALTHECASH was on her way to victory last time out when she was badly
interfered with at the furlong grounds. She has improved of late even with the troubled bid most recently and is
a threat given that she can get the jump on the top pick. Six panels is likely the ideal trip for graded stake
winner #3 GETMOTHERAROSE. She had no chance last time out on a bog facing GI talent like
Newspaperofrecord and the drop in class and cutback in distance will help greatly.

Race 10- 1 st #6 SHANDIAN 2 ND #9 ADIOS AMIGOS 3 RD #7 OUR TROUBADOUR

#6 SHANDIAN returns to NY bred company off a game 4 th place finish here in his return to turf. Swift workout
signals his readiness for this engagement and he should get some pace help again in here. #9 ADIOS
AMIGOS returns to turf himself today after rallying for the place dough in his first try against maiden sellers.
This is the right class level and his prior turf spins in 2019 make him a major contender as one of the choices.
#7 OUR TROUBADOUR sat on top of a slow pace last time and lost a brutal head bob at this level. One of the
also-rans from that race has since returned to win, and this colt should enjoy a similar trip stalking the pace in
this affair.

BELMONT MEET STATS: 178-39-24-23 $228.60
