Default Prairie Meadows Pick-5 on 9/6 - where is it?

Hi guys,

I don't normally play the quarter horses, but with $306,000 in the Pick-5 according to Equibase's carryover page, I thought I'd give it a look.

However, I can't find it on either Equibase's regular page, mobile page, or DRF's entries for tomorrow. I even did a page search for everything starting with "Pick ".

What am I missing? Thanks in advance for any info.

-Joe

It's probably just an omission, so I'll plan on it being from races 4 to 8 tomorrow. Saw that it was paid on last race, #8, on 9/3. Good luck to all trying for it.

The carryover is for thoroughbreds which don't race again until Monday night. There is a mandatory payout on Tuesday night, the last night of the year for thoroughbreds.

Thank you! That explains it. I have the equibase app, and it (mistakenly?) lists the carryover amount as being for 9/6. I would not have known what was really happening except for the info you just provided. Thank you.

I will plan to play Monday night!

You're welcome. I neglected to mention that the Pick 5 at Prairie Meadows is a jackpot wager, so please take heed of the extra helping of takeout. I will watch with interest on Monday night, but I won't play the Pick 5. If there is another carryover, I'll jump in on Tuesday night.

Hollywood Star, 6th to Good Magic in the 2017 BC Juvenile, is entered in Race 8 on Monday night for Albaugh Family Stables. Like a lot of my Pick 5 plays, he once had a lot of promise.

Good luck!

326,600 pick 5 carryover for the final card tonight..Can't find confirmation that tonight is a must pay, but I assume it is as it's the last day of the meet.

I guess I'll throw half a gross at this:

137/10/236/341011/34711

Marshall Gramm (@truxtonstables): $1,858,726 bet into the Prairie Meadows Pick 5 force out. With a 15% takeout and $326,600 carryover that’s $1,906,517 returned to bettors. That’s a players’ edge of 2.57%!
