7/26 (CT): Rampillion runs 3rd, is claimed..
I spoke with Linda this morning and she's still targetting Rampillion's next race to be at Charles Town. The race she has in mind is in the book for next Sunday afternoon, July 26, and is a $C10k nw2 going 6.5f, which at CT is a two turn race. Purse is $21k.
Entries will be taken this Thursday July 23 for the race on the 26th. Since the race is listed as a "substitute" in the book, there's always the chance it won't get used, or it may overfill and Rampy might not get in. CT's entries typically come up on Equibase pretty early in the afternoon on entry day. Keep in mind, none of this is cast in stone so if an extra race comes up on an overnight that Linda feels would be a better spot, a switch may occur. The list of tracks for Rampillion to run at expands on Sat Aug 1 when Laurel Park re-opens for an 11 day summer meet.

Road Warrior Weekend
I'm in. I'll miss the girls run Saturday I'll be in NC celebrating 18 yrs of wedded bliss,but I'm hoofing it in early from NC and should arrive in Charlestown by 2pm. Darren have me a beer waiting.

If you guys are looking to fly in for the race, Washington-Dulles is about an hour drive from the track and BWI is about an hour and 15 minutes. The track isn't as hard to get to as it may look. If your looking for a hotel the Casino hotel and Holiday Inn Express are the two best in Charles Town. You can also find a hotel in Frederick, MD cheap and its about a 25 minute drive to the track.
