I think Rosemary rode a great race. Turf racing requires some racing luck. We didn't get any. She broke the horse alertly, saved all of the ground, and most times in that same situation would find a hole and win for fun. This time, the hole wasn't there. I would ask her to ride the same race again next time and next time she will probably win.

We had a great time at TBD meeting all the partners that comprise Dee Tee Stables "South". Another great job by Chuck, T.C. ,Socks and the rest of the crew getting her ready to run a strong race. Mike was a gracious host at a beautiful facility. They know "how to roll" down in Oldsamar. Rosemary was sweet and took the time to chat with all of the partners. I told her KnS's nickname was Jazzy and she said "good...I like to talk to them during the race". IMO we got a good ride, but no racing luck. Without a doubt, the best part of the day was seeing my dude Socks cheesin' hard with a beer in each hand down on the apron just before the last race. Can't wait to do it again !!!

Rudeboyelvis and I spotted Socks there and hollered at him to come on up. We may (or may not) have provided him with another beer and he helped root my P4 home. He's my new good luck charm.

Happy Birthday to our favorite girls, Sumwonlovesyou, Kickin N Screamin, Rampillion, and Aldebutante.

How did KNS come out of her race? Did she stay wound up, did she lose a bit of weight, did she eat up well next day?

Came out well, but race definitely took plenty out of her, and she was exceedingly keyed up post-race. Has eaten fine, but this is a horse that empties the tank when she runs.

Won't go back to track for a couple more days though. Is getting turned out to the round pen for stretches during the day. Will look for next start in mid February.

Should get a ChuckBlog Update soon...

Thanks. Sounds like she needs to hang out with Hank. Or, Chuck could get her a mascot. George Clooney would be nice

She gave everything in her all out bid to win in the stretch. She was much the best, she was flying. Glad to see she getting her needed recovery.
