Default A song for you ma'am

I know you are a country music fan and I'm sure you've heard this one before. I read that country music writer John Prine is ill with the virus and I couldn't recall any songs that he had written so looked on youtube and found his songs and this one that made me laugh the first time I heard it and every time since then. Be sure to listen until the end. That's the good part(not written by Mr. Prine, I think.)

Oh sorry. Used wrong browser. Let me try it again.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAOVRkSCWmg

Sorry, not sure that will play or not. I use two different browsers. It plays on one, but not the other. I should probably delete one of them. Anyway, what I was trying to let you listen to is a funny song by David Allen Coe which features "the perfect country song" written by Steve Goodman. You might have heard it anyway.

You are SO Thoughtful ~ Kind Hearted & Am Honored To Call U "Friend!"

I not only like Country Music, I AM A Country Music Songwriter with 2 CDs
The Country Lyrics are on * Page 5 of my Website: RUFFIAN333.com

My Other Songs Are PHILOSOPHICAL / Message Type
* Those Are On Page #4 Of The Website

My #1 Significant Song is THE DANCE by Garth Brooks
It exemplifies my life and my own philosophy

'Yes I Could Have Missed The Pain
But I Would Have Had to Miss The Dance'

THE DANCE

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared beneath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known you'd ever say goodbye

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd have to miss the dance

Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I the king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go

Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain
but I'd of had to miss The Dance

Thanks. I hope you were able to play that. Song is too funny and some good impressions of other country singers by David Allen Coe.

Waylon
Willie
Ronnie Millsap
Glen Campbell
George Strait
George Jones
Allison Krause
Alan Jackson
Jennifer Nettles(Sugarland)
Bill Munroe
Ricky Skaggs

and probably many more that I'm not even thinking of.

To tell you the truth, my own taste in music is pretty wide ranging. Country, Rock, Classical, music from different eras like Big Band, Jazz, Broadway, Movies. You name it, I'm a fan of everything except maybe Kabuki and Rap.

With all due respect
I must admit I can’t stand any of those
{Big Band + Jazz }

I firmly believe in the concept of
*** To each our own {in all things}

That is what makes the world interesting
How boring it would be if everybody liked the same stuff

Jazz and Rap absolutely shred my nervous system!!!
I would have to leave the room if they were playing

It’s kind of the same thing about my love of ANCHOVIES

There are people that wouldn’t touch a pizza
if my anchovy was even close to their piece

I get it all goes back to
TO EACH OUR OWN

Or in that case with the pizza and the anchovies
TO EAT OUR OWN

Saw John Prine last June. It was fantastic, played a lot of material from his 2018 release Tree of Forgiveness. I really hope he can beat this. Here is an update on RS:

I think I'll have to go back and listen to some of his music. Can't say I know any of it, but probably have heard some of it and just don't know it. Hope he makes it.

Appropriate for sure and made me laugh.

Here another one that's appropriate, but more of a somber note:

Default Tears Or Smiles

I am well familiar with

“IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES”

{BASED ON MY HISTORY OF LOSSES AS YOU HAVE LEARNED }

That is why the lyrics of “THE DANCE “ became my Mantra of life
“I might’ve missed the pain but I would’ve had to Miss The Dance”

DIXIE CHICKS
I have all of their CDs + Big Fan

Just got back from Dollar General. Had to get some food for my pups and grabbed some other stuff like spaghetti sauce and sandwich meat in case we get in a siege. Wore my N95 mask and nitrile gloves. Told the lady at the checkout I would have worn my hazmat suit, but it was at the cleaners. Wiped all my purchases down after I got back before I shed my gloves and mask. Wiped my counters down and washed my hands. Sanjay and Dr. Fauci would be proud.

MAYBE the extraterrestrials planted the virus
to reduce earths population
Making it easier to take over

Strange times we're living in for sure. I saw where the Russians and Chinese sent us some PPE. So hard to hate on your enemies when they do stuff like that. I do hope that some folks stop eating bats and Pangolins and wolf puppies.
Doesn't sound nearly as good as fried chicken with mash potatoes and gravy and purple hull peas and fried Okra( which in my mind is the nectar of the gods).
