yeah, paterno had several offers to leave. always turned them down to stay at happy valley. one reason i was so blown away that he'd let all that turn to ashes to protect sandusky.
but like oscar wilde said, the only normal people are the ones you don't know too well. i would never have thought paterno would be so mercenary when it came to kids.

just saw a headline that said sandusky most likely will be remanded to jail with the two new cases coming out. good! he should never have been given such lenient bond anyway; that judge is no longer on the scene.
