You should have seen him at k state. He singlehandedly killed a heavily favored oklahoma team in the big 12 championship.

Tough game next week. I am excited to see what the matchups will be.

I think they will be between 8-10 point dogs at either place.

I had no dog in the fight tonight (except sproles) but that was a great game to watch.

Isn't he going to miss the game anyway because of the arm injury? You would think/hope that Pennington would be the replacement.

Sorry. My sarcasm didn't show too well. I am just waiting for Favre to cry again and lead the media through another 4 months of agony with his indecision.

I do think that the highlight of the year in the NFL was when Pennington lead the Dolphins over the Jets. I really don't care about either team, but to see Pennington get the revenge over the Jets he deserved was awesome.

We'll see how Pennington fares today. Hopefully they lose so I don't have to read about him for a few months.

The Jets had to cut pennington to create cap space for Favre. Even if they had the cap space, teams usually dont keep 6 million dollar back up.

The only favor that was done by the jets was the speed of the release. They could have waited until the end of camp to cut him and that would have hurt him.

I agree. The jets did what they were supposed to do and what most ANY other team would do given the circumstances. Saying they SHOULD have kept pennington now is revisionist because all i heard about before the season started was all the jerseys being sold.

It could have (and should have) been happily ever after for both. I just hope Favre doesnt play his usual game. The jets are built to contend NOW and a decent QB could easily put them in the playoffs next year.

I wouldn't want Thomas Jones speaking for my team. He's an idiot and plays the most expendable position on the field.

Manning has to be the MVP.
What other QB could have taken that team as far?

He really does not have the same weapons he used to.
Marvin Harrison is a shell of himself. Gonzales is a pure
possession reciever. The fact that Dallas Clark got so many
break down receptions plays says a lot. Addai and Rhodes...
those are not great running backs when hurt. The both barely got
500 yards. The Colts are no
longer explosive and Manning did a great job with that team.
Reggie Wayne is about it.

Imagine Manning with Bolden and Fitzgerald. Kurt Warner did
a very good job at just lobbing the ball up and letting them
make plays.

Bill Parcells should be eligible along with Sparano.

He took the coaches he knew were capable and some
nice players from Dallas. Basically raped Jerry Jones.

That can be said about any QB in the league pretty much.

and did you just say that Wayne is about it for Manning? Do you watch football?

I'd take those guys any day of the week.

I actually thought the Jets did a nice thing for Pennington, releasing him so he could go play somewehere else. Would it have been better if they kept him and he battled it out for backup? Thed Dolphins have had a fluke season. A fluke season that ends today.
It's not that the Jets did anything wrong but in essence, what they told Pennington was the they were trying to get to a place that they didn't think he was equipped to lead them to. It was a clear slight towards him even if it was one that a lot of other people would have made. It had to be sweet for him to be the one to knock them out of the playoffs, nevermind the fact that even if the Jets had won that last game, they still wouldn't have made it. The fact that the Dolphins and Pennington assured it, while at the same time assuring themselves a playoff spot, had to make for some extra satisfaction. It's sort of the same thing with Shaq/Kobe/Lakers. The Lakers had a business decision to make and they made the right one in keeping Kobe. Shaq was too old and asking for too much money to justify keeping him and risk losing Kobe. So they did what they had to do and I can guarantee you that Shaq felt much more pleasure winning the title with Miami than he did the three combined with LA. Professional athletes have huge ego and take all slights personally, even perceived ones.

So would I. So would Mcnabb. So would a majority of the teams in the playoffs.

Sorry my man.
That team is nowhere near as good.

Who besides Wayne does he have as a deep threat?
Do you watch football? That was a first down at a time team.
And thats what Clark was used for.

So what QB other than Manning could have done a better job
with the Colt offense? Manning squeezed blood out of a rock.
