Default Satellite Radios (S50)

Ok, so I was going to get one for my birthday here coming up, really wanted one that was portable with the MP3 player. Unfortunately, Best Buy says it's incompatible with my 2004 Dakota...has anyone run into this? What exactly do they mean incompatible? has to be a workaround.

Post S50

I have an S50 and they did a work around in my 05 Chevy. You have to buy a special braket to mount the device. A good place (not best buy or circuit city) will tell you where to get the brakets, what specific braket to get etc.

It works great once the docking station and the device get "settled". Early on forst week or two hard road knows would knock it offline so to speak, but after twoo weeks it seemed to stop doing that. So Now I am very Happy. Listen to Kasept all the time now.

Something to note:

Any sound transmitting device mounted other than where the manufacturer intended is probably not going to be covered by your auto insurance unless you purchase special coverage for it.

Read your policy or talk to your agent.
