Default Sutcliffe diagnosed with cancer

He has a treatable and curable form of colon cancer. I always enjoyed watching Sutcliffe pitch and I think his commentary is one of the best. I wish him luck.

One of my favorite pitchers of all time...He's a complete Bad ass - He'll kick cancer in the teeth and then laugh at it, you watch.

My dad was diagnosed with the same cancer last June, found out today he's cancer free and hopefully it will stay that way. It was caught early and even at his age (72) he got through it. Best wishes to Rick, I know he can beat it!

Amen to your dad staying cancer free bro! I hope the Red Barron can beat it too, Sutt is a class act, was a helluva pitcher and is a great color guy as well. I have such fond memories of him coming over to the my beloved Cubbies, and the magic of that 1984 season!

And the Indians got Mel Hall out of it!! (Joe Carter too so it wasn't a total disastrous trade in Cleveland lore.)
