Default Jockey Mejia Gets 10 Year Ban

https://www.paulickreport.com/news/t...a-10-year-ban/

Will be the first of many to get caught IMO. Pretty obvious some of these guys are using them. Big names too

I'm pretty sure this is the race ( Race 7 ) at around the 1:30 mark

Good catch by the photographer

I'm curious if the stewards tried to determine how the device was ultimately discarded. A cynical sort might think that the unsaddling procedure with the trainer was somewhat "choreographed" (unfortunately the video cuts to the replay in the middle of it)...

That's definitely the race. Interestingly enough, before he gets into the winners circle, it appears Mejia hands something off to the trainer, who then immediately puts his hands in a bucket.

Who knows what is really going on...but it's suspect and my guess is a lot of jocks are doing this.

Mejia has ridden for Duarte 6 times this year. He won on 4 of those mounts.

Duarte used to be a rider.

All just coincidences I'm sure.
