Default Maybe GPK can explain this

Flipping through the channels, I see a race from Harrington in process so I watch it, race 2. Anyway, a longshot wins and pays $100.20 to win. The exacta with the 2nd choice in the field (heavy favorite off the board) pays $81.80.

Is it me?

Depends on the total money bet in the exacta pool and/or how many times that exacta was bet. Could have been a light exacta pool is my guess.

The pools are so tiny, it's impossible for them to not be easily skewed.

Now, if you wanna really see something funny, Colonial Downs harness meet starts this Saturday. If you have nothing better to do one night, just follow the races and check out the pool totals. It's comedy gold.

Dude, I told you what I did there a couple weeks ago. It takes nothing at all to manipulate those pools at Colonial. I bet there was no more than $10 bet on that horse. Check out the odds on Joe Dretti. What are the chances two uncoupled horses would bet that exact same odds?
