excellent card sat. night, fantastic stakes action all around. the matchup of the night is in the Metro stakes where Malicious and Woodstock will llock horns. Woodstock is owned/bred by Brittany Farms, the connections have said this is the best 2yo they have ever had. quite a statement when you owned Artsplace, Life Sign, etc. this race alone is worth the price of admission. Pacing Derby is an all star group, but Shadow Play is really hurting and is questionable, front left foot is a mess so be cautious.

Amazing race up north tonight. Sportswriter took the Metro Pace for 2YO's in 1:49.2, a world record for the youngsters, and besting the previous 2YO record set by some nag named Somebeachsomewhere.

Later, Shark Gesture pulled an upset in the Pacing Derby, knocking off a very impressive field.

Great night of racing. Free video replays from these races can be found in the individual stories about the races on the Standardbred Canada website.
