Smile other stuff

since when did yonkers become a 1-1/16th mile track?

i don't know of another track that lists over a mile harness race for every race like yonkers does.

Even though this is old I stumbled on this and found it interesting.
http://www.harnessracing.com/news/da...ercharged.html

my neighbors are the best. At about 6pm today my cat got out on the loose when he saw another cat in the next yard and took off after him. he broke his leash and chased the stray through several neighbors yards. He pursued the other cat across the street and beat his ass underneath a boat. not impressive unless you realize my boy is neutered and declawed.

i thought he was a goner. much like human disappearances the first hours are also critical for cats and dogs. there must have been more than 10 people looking for him. darrell saw him chase the other cat across the street and witness the fight. he told elizabeth where he saw them run. She told beth with her maltese and with us they for searched for 2-1/2 hours before he was found in a back yard near some bushes. they surrounded him, called my wife and we got him back. a really outstanding group effort by all and my deepest thanks go out to them all. my boy tyler is back!

Well that's better by a lot.

Still, it's that 250 scrambler they made..I think.Nice chrome rims and fenders.....but a bike needs lots of plain chrome....with no gold etchings nonsense...just plain. No modern day hot paint jobs and NO leather whether it has studs or not....no baggage carrier either....no windshield....it cannot have "Born to Ride" anywhere.Fat Boys and any other model even remotely resembling those pitiful ,overstuffed bikes don't even count.

NO hand grip streamers

I'll take a Sportster any day over the other cumbersome hulks Harley puts out.

And below me,too.

The only scrambler I ever liked was he BSA 441....that Yamaha was a direct copy of the BSA and a Triumph street rods, but the best looking bike you had.....that is until the Sportster.

Why did you go bad?

Well that's good...being fat and wearing the black, dirty HD clothes is gross. In fact, wearing anything saying HD is a definite doo dah moment. For rookies.

Just don't care for scramblers..but it looks pretty decent.

I have decided I'll get a Billy type bike and take off west and see how long the fun lasts. If it's for the rest of my life...why, that would be greaaat.

Just don't get a junk wagon.

Thanks for the photos.

Default Went to Monticello Saturday Night.

I dont know why they don't race more at night. It was a beautiful evening with a nice fireworks show after the races.

Hopper's bike IS the Billy Bike!

Unless you meant Fonda....but that one, the frame should never be chromed. It becomes too gaudy...and the ape hangers and sharp rake look neato, but 4-get it as far as handling goes.

Choppers are the only way the big bikes work for me.

The car...Nova was my best guess, but it's also in the photo link...whatever you call it.Is that one of the 350 horse 327's??

Fine work on that one.
