same here Spyder...if it wasn't for ATR, I would have lost all interest years ago

From the humble beginnings on "At The Races and Beyond" with JJ & Sam to a Jim Mckay award recipient is quite an accomplishment. Since I started listening many many moons ago you have hit on subjects I never remotely would have given a second thought to. It started out about the handicapping but now segments like "Sire Watch"with Sid Fernando and the Tony Black and Mig interviews are always something to look forward to. There is just too much to say about the enjoyment you give to umpteen thousands of listeners daily. Hopefully this is the first of many more awards that should rightfully come your way. Congratulations to a most well deserved human being.

I think that is just great Steve and well deserved. I know you enjoy doing the show, and we sure all enjoy listening to it for years. It's nice to have your work acknowledged by your peers.

Compelled to add further appreciation for the most recent set of posts.. Hearing that the show and other related endeavors helped players/fans stay interested (or rekindled interest) in the game is the most gratifying expression I can receive. THX again to all for the ongoing support and warm well wishes.

This was really well deserved. I had the pleasure to know Jim and and he was an ardent fan of the game. I think he would be smiling down on this.
